July 25th Surgery!!!

I am getting more and more EXCITED!!!! I am finally going to be healthy, have energy, and finally feel better about myself!!!! I am very short and I feel so unhealthy. I have moderate sleep apnea and can't wear the mask. I have to take No-Doze some days just to stay awake and I am tired of being tired! If anyone else has a surgery date of the 25th, I would love to hear from you ....I have to start a liquid diet 2 weeks prior and that is coming up soon!!! If anyone has protein drink suggestions, let me know. Madeline 185 /125

I'm getting surgery on the 26th and I can barely contain myself. I have to start a liquid diet on the 12th. ... The doctor prescribed opti-fast for those 2 weeks and for 2 weeks after along with clear liquids for a while. I'm not sure what the opti fast tastes like, but the doctor said his patients have a lot of success with it and some people stay on it for extended periods of time. Michelle

Hi Madeline! I am a 25ther too!!!!! and OMG, I am getting more and more nervous as the days go by. I just wish that I could fast forward to about 3 months from now........ I don't have to do any special diet except for the day before- but, I have been "trying" to watch what I eat, not drink with meals (which is super super super hard to do!), trying to take 30 minutes to eat (which is almost harder than not drinking). I got some free samples today in the mail of some protein powders- I think that I might just keep them for after surgery. Haven't decided yet. Someone posted (on the Main board) last week with the phone numbers of two companies that give out free samples. If I can find it, I will post those numbers other than that, I am taking one day at a time- trying to enjoy my kids as much as possible before I am laid up for a couple of days. Hi, I know the feeling. I am scheduled for July 29th and I just wi**** would get here. Waiting is the hardest part. It is like being pregnant in the beginning you are so happy, but at the end you just want it to be over. Good luck to all of you and I wish you a great surgery with no problems. Hey! I am the day after you on the 26th. At least I think I am!! Got a letter from my insurance showing that as "the day". I have to talk to the Dr. office to see if it is official! I am so excited (and nervous) but most excited! Linda
