July 6'ers

Hi All-I have read many of your posts in ref to the pre-op diet. My doctor requires a 3 day clear liquid diet! Today is day one of the liquid diet. All doctors are different in what they require but I sure wi**** was not 3 days! I will abide by his rules as I do want to start off on a good note to myself. I feel I have to be disiplined from start to finish. My family and I are going out on our pontoon to spend time togethor and I think it will help with the hunger. I really don't eat too much when we are on the boat as I spend a lot of time watching my two grandsons. I love grandparenthood! Bless us all. joyce

Hi Joyce, I am a July 6er too. Good luck to you! The 3 days of liquid will be hard, but you can do it. I've been on liquids for almost 2 weeks! I've gotten used to it, but the last few days my stomach has just been rumbling! It is for a good cause though! Take care, Colleen

I'm a 6er too!! Thankfully my Dr. only requires 48hrs of liquids. It does kinda stink because I have two BBQ's to go to today good luck to all!! Charlee

Well ladies and gents I think we are finally ready to do this, I know I am and i can't wait for the 6th. I want to wish us all good luck and have a wonderful, new healthy life. Cheri

Hi 6ers My doctor doesnt require any special preop diet except for the day before (tomorrow) After a light breakfast I get to drink a bottle of Citrate of Magnesium around 11:00am. I think then the rest of my day is spoken for. Good luck to all of us and God Bless

Hi everyone. I am a 6'er too. I have been on a high protein/low carb for the last 2 weeks but no liquid requirements. However, I think I might just do liquids tomorrow just to make sure my system is fairly empty. See you all on the losing side! Good Luck Brenda

Hello I am having surg. July 6th too.. im on liquids now too. it has been hard..i was even smelling a empty choc. candy bar wrapper .well i wish the BEST OF LUCK TO ALL and a few to all..GOD BLESS EVERYONE....Candy
