This link was posted on my doc's website by another post-op patient. I was totally intrigued by watching the procedure. It's a video (originally broadcast live) of a lap RNY (there are other surgeries like an abdominoplasty, etc.). My husband and I sat and watched it last night. Even though I've read tons and looked at all kinds of pictures, this video made it feel more real. It's not too gross - hardly any blood at all (lots of yellow fat but not much blood). I SAW THAT WHEN IT WAS LIVE THE DAY THEY DID IT THAT. WASN'T IT IMFORMATIVE? I TRIED TO GET MY HUSBAND TO WATCH IT BUT HE SAID HE DID NOT NEED TO SEE IT LIVE.

It was very informative....I would recommend it to everyone. My husband thoroughly enjoyed it. We didn't get to see it live (just the replay of the live broadcast).
