can any one help me with this second issue... she is making me wonder. thanks
Hi Sue -
I've read that the pouch will naturally expand about 2/3 over the first couple years before stabilizing, so you will ultimately be able to eat a bit more than 1 oz. (That's why it's so important for us to maximize that early 1 oz. stage!) I chose RNY because the doctors at Cedars prefer it to the band (plus it's easier to get approved through insurance - go figure!). But I think that's all subjective and you just have to do as much homework as you can to find the right procedure for you. Whichever method you choose, I wish you great health for those next 40+ years!
Cheers,
Tara
I agree 100% with what everyone here says. Tara mentioned that our pouches will expand and my surgeon said that when everything is said and done I will be eating about 4 oz. That's what every human being sould eat at each meal to be slim and stay slim, not just bariactric patients.
You have to make your own choices. ones you and you alone can live with. This is your one shot, make it count! God Bless!
