OK - I'm reading so many posts of people saying they're also on some type of shake or liquid diets pre-op. Well, I've been on mine for 7 days now and am actually getting used to it. Here are a few secrets. FYI: I'm on 5 optifast shakes a day. But my dietician allows chicken broth, sf popcicles and sf jello. Buy a couple different flavors of Torani or Davinci's Sugar Free espresso syrups. I had one plain chocolate shake last Monday morning, not one plain one since. I add sf carmel syrup to my vanilla and my chocolate shakes and I blend them with ice. They taste just like a milk shake. I also add sf strawberry syrup to my water which helps me get down over 75 ounces a day. YUM. Better for you than crystal lite. You can get these syrups at cash & carry type stores the cheapest or you can pick them up at Wal-Mart just be sure they are sugar free. Try the chicken broth in the can or box, only 25 calories and to me it does taste just like Campbells chicken noodle without the noodles. Plus it fills you up. Good luck to you all. Janice 16 days and counting.

Optifast tastes horrible no matter what I did to it. I don't like Unjury or Isopure either--blech! I do like Spirutein from My Organic Market as well as Carnations *no sugar added. I can tolerate those. Mel..
