It's so crazy how doctors differ so much! I have to take 1 asprin a day for 1 week before surgery!
It's easy for me because I am allergic to all NSAID'S and ASA.
Tylenol is the only thing I can take.
I would be surprised if any surgeon allowed NSAIDS,ASA or blood thinners like Warfarin/Coumadin prior to surgery. It increases the chance of post operative bleeding plus irritates your new pouch.
Although I suppose some surgeons might allow an aspirin (ASA) regimen if the patient has previous cardiac problems. (but they should at least abstain a couple days prior to surgery)
Anyhow, just do what the Doc tells ya...

I have no clue. I don't have HBP and actually I have no co-morbs whatsoever. On my papers it says to take 1 asprin everyday for one week before surgery. I have heard other doctors doing this as well.
