Feeling excited and nervous all at the same time.

I also have my surgery scheduled for July 19. I also feel excited and nervous...actually kind of scared. But excited..man so many feelings! I guess they are normal. I am afraid I might really freak out the night before or morning of though. Anyone else feel this way? I am 40 and have 4 kids ages 5,7,12, and 13. I have not even decided whether to tell them or not. I guess I have to tell them something. But not mommy is fat so gonna have her stomach stapled so she can't eat so much. Sorry, my self esteem is in the toliet these days. Anybody else have trouoble telling their kids? Julie in NC

To Carol, Tina, and Julie. . .It's comforting to know that I am not alone in my feelings, but I am looking at this as a new start in my life. I am 45 and will be 46 yrs. old on the 14th of July and I look at this as a positive addition to a new life with ME. I will be keeping all of you in prayer and I wish you the best. I will be keeping in touch with all of you especially after the surgery and you are able to respond to the messages. Love you all.

Hi Carol, Tina, Julie, and Veronica, Congratulations to each of you - I am also having surgery on the 19th of July. I am passed the point of excitment - I can't wait. I am several years older that you, my oldest daugher is 31 and my youngest daughter is 28. Best of luck to each of you and I'll be praying for all you. Sandy
