Hey Jennifer, I have been monitoring the message boards for months now and quess what...everybody loves their bands and they are all glad they had the surgery. That's the bottom line kiddo, we just have to keep supporting each other and we'll be fine. Now having said all that...I must admit I'm a little nervous too My concern is not whether to have the surgery but did I choose the right type of surgery. I see much faster results with the gastric bypass and the gastroplasty. But I really like the fact that it's adjustable. Also that the surgery is much less invasive. Best of luck to you. (I'm 10 days behind you ) Steph

Just leave your worries in God's hands. And read: Philippians 4:6 (New International Version) New International Version (NIV) Copyright © 1973, 1978, 1984 by International Bible Society 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Jennifer, You are not alone. I think most of us on here are going through those feelings - so atleast we are all normal! (or collectively crazy ) I love the scripture that Dawn posted, it's one of my favs! I know it's hard to give it up, but sometimes we have no choice. We are all here to support you! Hang in there! We've got your back! HUGS Kimberly

OOps...forgot I wasn't on the lapband message board. Instead of being a food addict, I'm becoming a message board addict. (Too many to keep up with). Anyway, good luck and keep the faith, I'll be thinking of ya.

Jennifer Hi honey I think we are all a little nervous, heck I feel lost sometimes. But with prayer I do ok.. I have mine on July 6th and honestly can't wait.I want to start a new, healthy life. I know everything is going to be alright. I don't know if your religious but put your trust in God. If not put your trust in whatever you believe in. Cheri

My surgery is scheduled for July 5th and I'm nervous too. Friends tell me to stay focused on the good results I expect to have and not on anything that could go wrong. Its hard but I don't need to spend my time worrying about what might happen. I'm getting focused on getting my house clean because I don't want to be embarrassed when people come to visit me! I wish you the best of luck! Kim
