July 18th Losers!

Hey everyone! I just thought it might be fun to have our own little thread going. How's everyone passing the time? What kind of plans are you making if any for after surgery? I have been bugging the hubby to plan a trip to Vegas in December but he has been sober for about two years now and he doesn't think Vegas will be any fun if he can't drink, so I'm trying to come up with a new idea. I plan on losing at least 100 pounds by Christmas. I have a few friends in my local support group who have managed to lose nearly all of their extra weight within the first seven monthsI'm not going to set any unrealistic goals but 75-100 pounds by Christmas would sure be AWESOME! I can't wait to buy a sexy dress and knock em' all dead at my hubby's work Christmas party. Hesays that he loves me just like I am and that he finds me really sexy now...but he doesn't know what he's talking about! hehe What things are you looking forward to after you lose weight? I can't weight to wear a bathing suit to the beach without looking like I'm a beached wale or manatee. I'm also looking forward to stripping for my hubby! Maybe some of you do that already but I just don't feel sexy with all of this flubber around my middle! What are you guys looking forward to? Chime In! Jody

We are planning on going to IL. for Christmas this year. We'll be there about 11 or so days so I want to look really good. It's my husbands family and we don't get to see them but 1 time a year and I've been getting bigger and bigger each year. Lord willing, not this year. I want more than anything to be ale to shop for clothes in any store I choose. We often drive to Commerse, Ga to go clothes shopping and I come home with all my money. It happens all the time and I'm tired of it.

Oh I'm so sorry, it would have been nice to meet you. Another problem with that time of year is the snow. I've asked my hubby to take me to see Oprah while we're there but he says I'm crazy!

Well I'm planning on going to my 10 year class reunion in September. I can't wait to get in the cadillac and have the seat belt get buckled and not have me hold it across me. I want to go dancing. I haven't been dancing in 5 years. I want to go to the movies. By Christmas I want to tell my family I want clothes for christmas. I have only 4 outfits in my closet because I hate shopping now. But I will be on a shopping spree. I am either going to go to school or back to work. But I'm leaning more to going to get my cosmetology liscense. I have like a million things in my head but these are the only ones I can think of now. But mostly I am going to enjoy life to the fullest.

Besides for the obvious of being healthy, I am looking forward to all of the fun things that I can do with my son again. We go to Six Flags and I can not go on the roller coasters. I stand there and smile, wave and take pictures. I want to be on the ride with him!!! I want to go on bike rides with him, I want to play in the pool, go down the slides all of the things that I know he is missing out on because I can not do with him. As a single mom it is up to me to do those things and I can not right now. That is what I am looking forward to the most Go time, go time, I want it to be July 18th already!!! Nancy

Hi Nancy You know something I to want to do all the same things with my son. He's a loner (because of his weight) no self-asteem he has nobody to go on the rides with him later and it's my job to make sure he's having a good time. I can't wait for next summer now because it's going to be one of the best summers in our lives. I think we'll all have a great next summer!!!! ***********************HUGS*****************Cheri

I have av overweight daughter, I recently ordered her a book "Just for Kids" by the national recognized shape down program. It was only $15 and is a workbook. It is a 10 wek program, this is my daughters second week and she is really into it. We review her pages weekly and spend a few minutes each night talking about it. Also, on OH gallery pictures there is a girl whose mother had the surgery and by following along her mothers food intake she went from a 20 to a 9. I thought this might encourage you.Good luck!!
