HOW ARE YOU PASSING THE TIME??

Hey everyone! My surgery date is July 18th. I'm going nuts just thinking about waiting that long! What are all of you doing to help pass the time? I fear I may drive myself and my poor husband crazy before my date even gets here. I'm just so EXCITED!!! Anyone have any ideas? I'm sure I'm not the only one who's dealing with this. HUGS Jody

No your not the only one. Time is standing still for me. Can I just sleep until the day comes?

Jody - I'm doing an overhaul on my house. One room every few days - until it's DONE! Getting rid of clothes, packing away stray winter clothes etc. I'm throwing out my fat clothes! LOL For some reason I just really got in the mode to simplify my life all the way around. I'm considering opening my piano studio again after taking several years off, so I'm getting things together for that. etc etc - but mainly just cleaning! Time still seems to be standing still though. HUGS! Kimberly

Hey Jody...passing the time...I've been going to some stores - and looking at the clothes that I might fit into. It's driving me nuts too!! Especially since they gave me a surgery date and the insurance is in process. Gosh if I get denied by insurnace....I can even think about that ...I've got 33 days and 1.5 hours to the Big Day..agh!!! B

Well it's 3:53am so you see I can't sleep either. It seems all I can think or even talk about is my surgery too. I to am cleaning the house, I mean cleaning. I sit and pull out draws and even closets to keep me busy. My house is pretty clean thanks to a compulsive cleaning disorder but "now" it's really clean**************Cheri Oh I also started a new photo album for the family and the kids. I found alot of pictures not in the albulms.

OK now just let me tell you... I am in Germany and passing time here is 10x harder here!!!! I can't go to Wal-mart and waste time ...I can't go to the mall and waste time I can't even go to friends and families houses because I am from TN and don't know hardly anyone over here. I have been on my CPU so much i now have a flat butt!!!! Will the agony ever end????? So I am doing a little cleaning, that way my hubby only has to take care of the girls(2-4). I am putting outfits together for them so they don't show up at the hospital looking crazy while I am in there. LOL. Sorry you would just have to know my husband.....anyway! Take advantage of wal-mart and the malls and your families. Go....spend time.....and spend money.......have fun and see you on the other side!!!!! Danielle 7/13/05

Anyone who is bored and their houses are clean, feel free to come to Illinois for a visit Seriously, I am a single mom and my son is in baseball right now, my best friend is in the process of moving to California and I have no time to even breathe (unless I am here at work) I know that I am driving everyone around me crazy with surgery talk. I am trying to plan all of my "last dinners" with the different group of friends, make child care arrangements for while I am in the hospital and unable to take care of my son when I get home. He is almost 9 but I know that I am not going to want to cook and clean up after him for at least the first week that I am home. I am twiddling my thumbs when it comes to my nerves already. I am so excited and so nervous at the same time!! I just want June to be over with!! Have a great day everyone, Nancy

I am July 5. I am passing the time by slowing going insane, obsessing on these forums, and talking about nothing else. Oh... and on occasion, I work and sleep. But I try to limit that.

To pass time I have been playing online games and watching T.V. Until my fiancee decided we should buy a house. So now I have been trying to find and get all the paper work to turn into the finance company. And my mom decided to have family reunion this weekend. But I have been watching the calendar wishing this month would fly by and it would be July 13th already.

It seems like forever getting to the date...whats even worse is I am still waiting for my insurance approval. Surgeons office told me to call back at the end of next week. I also have to tell my bosses that I am having surgery and will be out for at least a week. Still haven't decided when and what to tell them, so thats also stressing me. -Dee
