Where are you
in your weight loss? I know we are all 2 years out but how much have you lost, what was your lowest and have you gained any back?
I started this journey at 283 the day of the surgery my lowest was 163 about 5 months ago and now my current weight is 176. I want to get back down to 163 (actually 160) I'm still able to wear size 8-10 but they are getting tight. I want to have surgery to remove all the skin but insurance won't pay for it (they say I don't have enough) WTF what do they know. Anyways I'm going to have a hysterectomy in 2 weeks and then after that I'm hoping to get back on track and get down to 160 by the New Year. Wish me luck.
I'm doing well. I started at 272 (I'm 5'8"). My lowest was about 3 weeks ago - I got down to 140.4. My original goal was 170 but changed to 155. My doctor's goal for me was 150. I usually hover in the 143-146 ranged.
I have a full tummy tuck scheduled for 16 Nov courtesy of my insurance. They're actually covering upper and lower along with muscle tightening - I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. I'm considering Mexico next summer for some other plastics.
Just got home from my doctor's annual gala celebrating all of the success of his patients. He's a great doctor and human being. Hope everyone else is well.
Take care,
Maria
I started at 318-320 lbs and my lowest was 194 lbs ... I picked up 16 lbs last year after having 2 surgeries (appendix and gallbladder) in 2 months.
I just recently got back on track with my eating and exercising and have lost 7 lbs sofar and hoping to reach my goal of 170 lbs before my PS in May 2008.
This time around I really hope to get down to where I was hoping for last year ... sofar so good though!!
Tammy-
I started at 260-- And got down to 152 for a millisecond last August (after my weeklong bike trip). I hovered around 157-161 until this July-- At one point I was 175 and I have been working my way down (169) over the past two months. I went to follow up ready to get yelled at, and was told that a bump was expected and I shouls use 170 as my 'don't go over mark.' I still have a hard time with that, especially because my clothes are tight, but it put it into perspective. I would like to get down to 161 again, but it's not easy any longer is it?
I think we were all told about the 'bump' but no one thought it would happen to them. I am heading back to the gym and trying to jump start my metabolism. For as long as I can remember, I thought of 160 as the promised land-- In college after a summer of Weigh****chers I lost 30 lbs and made it to 160 and felt great. So I always compare that weight as the goal. I may have to readjust, but we'll see.
