Had my stress test...
Hey, I know I told some of you that when I had my physical a couple of weeks ago, that my EKG showed something "abnormal" (their words) and they wanted me to take a stress echo to see if there was any damage to the heart or if I had at some time had a mild heart attack and didn't know it. Well, long story short, I passed with flying colors! They said they found NOTHING at all and that my heart was very healthy looking and in all likely hood the EKG was just done wrong or maybe even had an electrode on wrong or something. I completed the treadmill "race" to the end with no problem. So I felt so good that I did that and that there was no problems.
Now the funny part, the tech that did the test had me wait 20 minutes and then repeated the EKG to make sure, so we had some time to talk. She asked if I had lost a lot of weight recently so I shared that I had gastric bypass and had lost 200 lbs. She said she too had gastric in Dec. 05 and had lost 140 lbs! We shared some stories and then found out we used the same surgeon! What a small world. She is going to join my Sat. morning support group. She too can't go to the one our surgeon has in the evenings and was thrilled there were others. Sometimes God puts us in a place for a reason.
Have a great week everyone!
Great news Debbie!
We all talk about looking good and feeling better about ourselves but for me personally the health benefits of WLS were my number one reason for having it. I'm so happy for you that your health is good.
It's funny where you run into other bariatric patients too! At my old job we hired another inspector who also had gastric bypass. Talk about your instant connection!
Take care
Tim
