A Christmas Poem
It's been too long since I wrote on of these
Seasonal silliness!
There once was a jolly old elf
Who stored all his gifts on a shelf
Until late in December
As I seem to remember
When he takes quite a task on himself
To fly 'round the whole world in one night
An often precarious flight
And attempt distribution
Of his toy contribution
Oh what a spectacular sight!
In a sleigh that is pulled by reindeer
He flies both afar and so near
To deliver the toys
To the good girls and boys
And all of that great Christmas gear
There's one thing that I just have to know
Where'd he come up with that whole "HO HO HO"
So I'll leave him a treat
Milk and cookies to eat
To consume before he has to go
So to Santa I'd just like to say
Before you fly off in your sleigh
From the Kings to the peasants
Thanks a lot for the presents
And take care as you go on your way
