Stomach Problems

Hi Everybody! Does anyone know what it means to have an overeactive bowel? This is what the Doctor said that was wrong with my stomach, because I've been having pain and diarrhea on and off since Thanksgiving. He gave me medication to take and my stomach felt great right away but here is the kick in the head it made me so thirsty the I thought that I was losing my mind I am still trying to recover from taking those pills. The medication is pamine and I will not be taking it again I drank a gallon of water last night and I feel as if I should drink a gallon more. Deidre

Hi Diedre did you try looking up the medication online and see if thirst a side effect? FYI, i went to the same dr.'s office as you for my surgery, except my doctor is Dr. Abkin.

Is that anything like IBS? My husband has IBS and he has gone though 13 medications so far. The doctor said no medication is just right for everyone. So you may have to try something different.
