Which Vitamins?

Can You tell me what Multi Vitamins and which Calcium you all take? I'm looking to switch brands from my Doc's to something else and I would like to know what else I can take and where to get them.. Thanks all peace mo

Hello...Just thought I would pop in and put my 2 cents worth here for a moment. I have been taking Bariatric Advantage for a few months, though not very religously at times. BUT -- I have found that when I do take them like I should, I keep a steady pace of losing...Still have a LOT to loose though...oh well. At least I have not had any problems (Knock on Wood). My doctor gave me a 6 month supply of vitamist mens formula at my one year checkup. I think he's using me as a guinie pig and waiting to see how the labs I'm having done next month come out. I also take citrical creamy bites ( 500 mg X 4 daily ) for my calcium. I buy them at Walmart. I was taking Costco's brand of centrum silver before I got the vitamist and my labs always came back great.

Hiya Timmy boyo!! I too would like to know how your labs come back.. I have very serious concerns about those spray vitamins. I just don't think the body absorbs those things the same way as the tablets or pills.. But.. hey... you just might be the exception to my worry.. you are still as cute as heck thou.. peace mo

Mo, I take the Women's formula that I get at Vitamin. They are made for seniors whick means they dissolve easier (easy on the senior tummies--and us WLS patients as well.) I also use the citacal creamy bits (Caramel is my favorite!) get this at Walmart and 2 B-12 sublinguals a day. I add an extra C a day if I feel a cold coming on or someone in my house has one!

Thanks for the reply Debbie.. I have been reading your posts and you sound like a gal who has her head on straight! I appreciate that.. I have getting the idea that these senior type vitamins might be the way to go.. quite a few people Gastric Bypass people I know are taking the Centrum Silver.. I imagine those are the senior formula.. and now you with the vitamin.com ones.. I'm going to be going in this direction.. it's funny because just a few months ago I heard a lot of talk in the direction of pre-natal vitamins.. Now that is definatly NOT the direction I want to go.. lol!!.. thanks again peace mo

Lord Girl I would shot myself it I had the "real" reason to use pre-natal vitamins! LOL That time of life is so very much behind me! I was re-reading my post and see that I left off the rest of the name of the Vitamin place. It is Vitamin Shoppe. They have stores and online. But I think the Centrum Silver would be great. I only bought there because I buy my protein powder there. Now that I highly recommend! It is ProBlend 55 mocha cappacino flavor and it is so so good. --Deb

I take a women's multi with iron from Wal-mart - nothing special - 2x per day. I get my calcium citrate + D from Sam's Club. I take that 4x per day. I do take Dry A & D that I get from Vitacost - but that's a DS thing I believe. Sharon
