Well, it ain't the republican party. It is Bush. He is an idiot. And Cheney, who leads Bush. Not that I agree with significant parts of the republican platform -- and I am a democrat. But, they ain't so great right now either. As to civil liberties - yes, I believe in them. I even (gasp) have donated money to the ACLU.
