position wanted

Well, I knew this was a possibility. Things have been so slow at work the last couple of months that they finally had to have a round of layoffs today. Guess who was first on the list. Nope not me, I was third.(it was alphabetical order and Ken Assendelph and Don Bowman were ahead of me) Anyway I'm still going to work today and putting in my 8 hours. I think I'll spend it updating my resume. My bosses promised me I'd be the first person they called back, don't know if I'm willing to wait that long. The Good No more night shift, hell no shift at all No more excuses now to finish the garage Plenty of time to exercise No more snacking, can't afford it Time to fix my boat Time to go FISHING! Visit friends and family The only bad thing is the money of course, at least being in the union I'll get SUB pay along with my unemployment. Good thing my self esteem is better than it was. take care all..........Tim

Hi Tim, This is probably the exact push you needed anyhow. I am a firm beliver that everything happens for a reason. Last year I too got laid off because they moved my job to India.. Of course they did it after I trained my new India counterpart.. Go figure. But it was what helped prompt my decision to have WLS as I knew job searching would be more difficult as an obese woman.. My hubby and I also took a road trip to Canada and remodeled our house. We lived on unemployment until it ran out and then that very same week my company called me back to work in a different department.. They brought me back at the same pay level and is much less stressfull. Soo enjoy your time off and get all your projects complete because the time will go by very fast and you will be working again before you know it.. My thoughts are with you but I KNOW things will turn out just fine... My other motto is that good things happen to good people so you are all taken care of my friend. I am loving the beard and the stash............ And for the job thing. Things happen for a reason. Hell dude you might get even a better job. Or a more high paying job. Someone said when god closes a door, He opens a window. That hit home with me. I have had a sucky life. But I still hold my head up and know in my heart that things will get better. In gods time not mine. I am 42 years old today and still waiting on my ship to come in. Be good dude or be good at it. Amy

Thanks Amy Reviews have been mixed on the beard and stash. I'm keeping them for now. I've been laid off many times in my career but have always landed on my feet. I'll do so again this time. Tim
