Vitamin, 3 hair and nail horse pills, 1 b-12 sublingual
Breakfast: Bowl of instant grits with 3 tblsp. cup shredded mozzarella cheese, hot sauce and a sprinkling of soy nuts
Calcium pills, nexium
Snack: 1/2 banana or a hard boiled egg
Lunch: 1 chapati (whole wheat tortilla kinda thing), about 1 1/2 C curried vegetables and an orange
Iron pills, multivitamin
Afternoon hot tea with Splenda and 2 Tbsp. milk
Snack: Cheese stick
Calcium pills, multivitamin
Dinner: ? Don't remember! But it's usually what everybody else is eating - I was not paying attention yesterday because my husband came home finally from a 2 week trip overseas and he had brought me back a ton of clothes! Then I got busy filling out all the school forms for the kids...
Iron pills
Lots of water and liquids all through the day. I get really thirsty all the time so I try to keep hydrated and drink water a lot.... usually just striaght old fridge water or hot decaf herbal tea (ginger twist from lipton) with Splenda
I snack a lot on soy nuts or pepitas, very rarely sweet things - but sugar free popsicles if I am feeling hot. I don't bother too much about fats like butter anymore. I avoid any carbs - particularly bread, white rice, and potatoes like the plague.
I love the salad bar at Ruby Tuesday's and usually fill up with a ton of salad and lowfat ranch if I eat out. I can eat a couple slices of cheese pizza with crust if I want but I do that only very occasionally.
Exercise consists of everyday life - weeding garden, housecleaning, walking a bit, etc.
I need to get into some kind of routine there - but now that the kids have returned to school, I can start going back to Curves every morning.
I have been advised to eat more eggs (i can only stomach them hard boiled) and spinach for iron...
But, generally feeling pretty darn good. Weight loss is slow, but I notice when I eat MORE or change around what I eat I lose weight! If I eat the same thing everyday I don't lose at all. I'm at 168.5 today.
Hope that helps!

Jennifer,
I feel almost guilty saying that I don't exercise (at least not at this time). I have gone through spurts and would exercise 3 - 4 times per week (water aerobics, pilates, eliptical machine). I do run the stairs at work quite a bit.....that counts, right?
Here's a typical day for me:
Vitamins & minerals before jumping into the shower.
Breakfast: Instant serving of Kashi GoLean hot cereal. Not really oatmeal but close to it with more fiber & protein and moderate carbs. http://www.kashi.com/ourfood/GOLEAN/GOLEANHotCereal/Default.aspx
Mid-morning snack: Dried fruit (natural not dried and coated in sugar), nuts, wheat thins
Lunch: small amount (1/2 deck of cards or less) of chicken (or beef), salad (or a few fries or some veggies - just depends on mood). Sometimes an individual serving size of chili (the small one not big one - like Hormel). Also, the South Beach entrees (Orange Beef, Kung Pao Chicken, etc.) but rarely can eat it all.
Afternoon snack: Same as morning but might have yogurt or granola
Dinner: Again, small amount of meat, veggies, or salad.
Evening snack: Popcorn, sometimes pretzels, sometimes nothing
Also, I usually have a latte (Venti Carmel Machiato is my latest favorite) in the mornings and sip on it throughout the morning (and sometimes afternoon).
I'm very bad about liquid and rarely drink water. If I have soda, it's always diet (and has been since 1996).
I don't drink while I eat and wait at least 30 minutes after eating before drinking. I know that I don't do everything right and often eat things I shouldn't (like french fries, chex mix, potatoe chips & laffy taffy); but I can't be doing that bad because I'm almost 10 pounds under my goal.
Last, but not least, I too am a scale-a-holic. I've finally gotten to where I only weigh twice per day: once in the morning (after peeing but before taking the vitamins) and once just before bed. I used to weigh at least 4 times a day.
Best of luck,
Maria

Hi Jennifer,
You seem to be stressed, but I think you're doing fine. Give yourself a break!!
Anyway, my menu so far today:
Breakfast
2 cups decaf w/half & half
croissant w/melted swiss (hey - a girl's gotta get in her protein - I figure the croissant is so bad, I might as well at least TRY to get the protein!)
Snack
6 hershey kisses w/almonds (this equals one ounce of chocolate)
Lunch
Salad w/chicken, chick peas, shredded cheese and I'm sure fattening asian sesame ginger dressing, which I LOVE
Dinner
not sure, but I know snack after dinner will be kettle corn from an amusement park I took the kids to yesterday.
OK - so today is a bad choice food day. I let it go on Friday's cause I eat out breakfast w/ the girls.
And I'm not proud of it, but my exercise is nil. Today, I did walk to work from the train instead of taking the subway, but this is where I really have to improve. I'm below my surgeon's goal and close enough to my own goal that it doesn't matter anymore, but I know I'd feel much stronger and less jiggly if I moved my lazy ass a little more!!
Know what?
My life is so messed up right now I haven't been eatin CRAP!!!
I cant eat when Im stressed out....I just sit there and stare at my food and it looks as appetising as a steaming pile of dog crap!
As a result.....Ive lost 6 lbs since Sunday.
I get to the end of the day and realize.....hmmmmmm....Today Ive had a piece of cheese and 64 oz of coffee....Im going to bed!
Sorry to vent all over your thread dear...............
Love ya!
