Posture - I need some good...
Are all of us having posture problems? Or is it just some of us?
My problem - I hunch over/forward. It wasn't noticeable when I weighed 128 pounds more. Without the big stomach, it is more obvious. My shoulders roll forward and my head sticks out. Not vulture like, but getting there.
When I wal****ep reminding myself, "shoulders down and back". Any of you have any tricks you've used to improve your posture?
Don't think you have a problem, ask folks about your profile or a sideways glimpse of yourself? I didn't think I had a problem either. It was a physical therapist that pointed it out. I then asked my sister, and she said, "yep, you don't stand (or sit) straight". And now I'm trying to work on it, and I find it really difficult and doesn't feel natural.

shoot, pam - me too. i have ALWAYS been a sloucher. i remember when i was 19 or so, my m-i-l used to smack me across the back and say what'r you putting your head down for? be proud!
anyhoo, i haven't REALLY examined this apres-weight-loss but it's an intersting question.
i think people who do this don't want to be NOTICED (oh, unlike, say, our lovely miss malibu)
we wanna fade into the wallpaper.
what say you, dear?
Pam,
They make special bras for this problem. There is also a "relax the back" store that has a brace type thing you can buy. My friend is having to use one, but she says that the bra type is better. So get yourself to a professional bra store and talk to them. It will help. I'm a sloucher too, and I have been working on it for this whole year. I think I'm finally kicking the habit, but not sure. I'll have to take a sideways pic and see.
Good luck, let me know what you do.
If all else fails, talk to your doc, he may can get you a prescription for it and your insurance may pay.
HUGS
Hope this helps!
