Obesity Help National Event in Lexington, KY
Over the last months, we've discussed the OH convention in Lexington, KY, October 27-28. I hope that many of you can make it to this event. The speaker line-up is impressive and there is a masquerade ball planned for Friday night. The hotel rate is decent at $119 per night. Lexington is a friendly town and the surrounding "Horsey" countryside is beautiful in the fall. For the guys in our group, we've planned a session on men's bariatric issues lead by "Dx" of Men's board fame. I may stay Friday night but I live within 30 miles of the hotel and will commute most of the time. Nan is planning to come as is Channon and others have shared an interest.
Lexington has a medium size airport. Sometimes, it's cheaper than Louisville, which, while larger, is 55 miles away. Flights to Louisville do tend to be cheaper, but then you'll need a car to drive to Lexington. I may be able to pick some folks up at the Lexington airport.
The meeting starts early Friday, October 27. I'm thinking that we can get together for dinner and/or drinks Thursday evening around 7:00pm. We can carpool if necessary. Lexington has a number of great places to eat and there are clubs and bars within a few blocks of the Radisson.
If your thinking driving, Lexington is 6-8 hours from Chicago, St Louis, Atlanta, Charlotte, Richmond, Cleveland, Pittsburg, and Detroit. It' s 1 1/2 hours from Cincinatti. All the driving is Interstate.
I'll be posting every two weeks or so.
Who's planning on coming, on the fence, or just can't make it?
