Sagging Skin
I know that as we lose weight we will all have some saggy, baggy skin. I was curious if anyone has had any particular success with any exercises or products that they would like to share. I just bought the Curves armbands from Avon and am anxious to try them. You can cover most sagging skin up with clothes, I guess it's the skin on my upper arms that is bothering me the most.
I would really appreciate hearing things that have worked for other people.
Thanks,
Tammy
Honestly, nothing works for sagging skin. Plastic surgery is it. We can work out 100 times a day. The only thing we are doing is building muscle and because of the rapid weight loss its difficult to keep up with the sagging skin and firmness. Especially if you have it mostly in one place.
I know someone who was evenly proprtioned and they still needed plastic surgery. The only think that bothers me about the sagging skin is that I cannot wear the same size pants as a shirt. But I still have a lot of fat in my legs. Each one of my leggs has about 20 pounds of fat in them.
I can't wait for my surgery. Probably not till next year at least before the summer.

HI Tammy!
Men can have success "filling out" their loose skin with muscle, but women tend to just tone up the muscles that they have and don't really add bulk....even with lots of weight training.
The good news is that your skin is about 6 months behind your weight loss. I have noticed some significant friming goin on with my body, but sure enough, just as things start to look good again, I lose another chunk of fat and I'm back to square one. This is why most plastic surgeons wont touch you until you have been at a stable weight for 6 months. By this time next year, our bodies will look very different than they do now. Of course there IS a point where the skin will no longer cinch up any more and this is where the PS comes in.
Time will do much more for your skin than weightlifting (for women) so give yourself time!
