the future of this board?
I went and visited the July 2004 board just to get a peek into what may or may not happen here.
Just let me say I hope it is "may not". that place is DEAD.
This is OUR board and by that I mean everybody. We need to all support each other and contribute. It is important in making this tool work for us now and years from now.
So all you lurkers out there, post something. You must have a question you need answered.
Don't be afraid to respond to posts either. We would love to hear from you.
One more thing before I step off my soap box....
Don't forget to EXERCISE TODAY!
Tim
Let me just admit before I say this, that I know I can be more than a little slow. I've been on the main MB for a year now and I only just realized this board was here like a few weeks ago! LOL I check it every day and noticed that not many people post. I'll be sure to share my thoughts here as well as the main MB, and I walked to work today instead of taking the subway, which is a huge deal for how lazy I've been lately.
And we're glad to have ya Skinny! One of the great things about this board is that we are all pretty much at the same stages of our loss and understand each others joys and sorrows.
Good job on walking to work. I'd do that myself but it's about 12 miles and I'm not quite ready for a 3+ hour walk to work one way.

Hi Tim,
I really hope that is not our fate.. I read this board several times a day. I feel like everone here relates to me in some way. ( sometimes not even in weightloss but life it's self).. The further out we get the less i think we realize how much this surgery has affected our lives and as time goes on this surgery will seem less important to our daily lives.. but I truly belive if we can hold on to this board and each other that it will help with our long term success. We have gone through the scarry times and happy times but now some of the demonds are seeming to return and we are faced with maintaining this lifestyle that we are all enjoying so much now... So everyone out there... Keep coming back and keep posting... PLEASE!!
Hugs to all!
Shannan
Tim - Some of the OH boards never take off in the first place, and some of the monthly boards are in that place, they never really caught on. We've been lucky because we have you and all the other folks that make this board fun to read (most of the time) and relevent to our current lives (almost all of the time).
I appreciate you asking the lurkers to post - it would be nice to get to know them too.
Since you posted this yesterday, I can claim my excercise yesterday. I played soccer last night with no substitutes. An hour and a half of running around. Running. and I could do it. I had the energy and the stamina - though by the end I was exhausted.

Hi Tim and Everybody,
I, like the other poster above, didn't realize that this board even existed. I've been posting on the Singles Board and my local State Board (MD). Now that I know this board exists, I'll be more active with posting to it.
I just passed my 1 year surgiversary this past Friday. I've lost 129lbs with 37 more to go. For this second year, I plan to be more deliberate and disciplined about exercising everyday. I'm no couch potato (never was), but I'm kind of hit or miss with working out.
Have a Great Day!
Take Care,
Terry
