Hi there my fellow WLS buddies! I often visit the June 2005 forum (the month I had my surgery)... however it has been very slow there lately and I loved to read on your board about the Vegas trip... Being a year out from surgery now... can you all tell me how many calories/carbs you are getting in per day? What is your weight loss like? I had not tracked my food intake in a while and when I did, noted that I was getting in about 1000 calories a day! I just do not have an apetite for more (protein, that is)! I do get in my 100 oz of water and at least 100 grams of protein... What do all of you do and how is it affecting your weight loss? Currently, I am 254#... down from a high of 435# and a surgical weight of 394#. I have lost 140# and would like to loose 70# more before plastic surgery. Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated! Hey, BTW, ARE'T OH CONVENTIONS AWESOME!! I have been to two so far and have absolutely loved them! I wish I could have made it to Las Vegas to meet many of you! Thanks my friends! Sandy P

Hi Sandy~ Your weightloss is impressive....181 lbs! WOW! I think I am doing about the same as far as calories. I don't count carbs much anymore because I hardly eat them. I'm still in the 70 grams of protein range. Hope that helps. Malibu

Hi Sandy, Congrats on your weightloss you look GREAT! I'm not sure I can be much help on your question because I have never and probably will never count my calories. My goal for having this surgury was so that I would not be a slave to food for the rest of my life. My goal was to just be able to eat like a normal person without obsessing about everything I put in my mouth. Now ofc ourse I am aware of what I am eathing and some days I make good choices and some days I don't. This is working for me so far so that's my plan and I'm sticking to it! And I have not been to a OH Convention yet but they sound very motivating and if one comes to my area I will be sure to attend. Good luck Sandy and how smart to look a month ahead on the boards to get a peak into the near future.. I should have thought of that one..lol! Shannan
