ONE YEAR!!! Happy Rebirthday to me!!

This monumentous event took place one year ago TODAY, July 5, 2005, under the skilled hands of Dr. Philip Chin of Lite Dimensions. Even though the surgery took place on the morning of the 5th last year, it was truly my Independance Day. Since that day, I have lost 110 pounds, and have experienced many changes in my life, however, I still struggle with the demon that is addiction... with obsessive/compulsive behaviors... with the impulses to gratify my appetite... and with self-indulgent behaviors. It's easier for me to rest, than to exercise; to eat than to say no; to settle than to press on to lose those last 20 pounds.... I want to be one who can say "I reached goal weight"... and I am soooo close.... it's time to kick into high gear and just "do it" (sorry, Nike).... I'm thrilled with where I am... I will post some pix of last year for those of you who did not know me then (they are on my myspace, since I don't know how to post pix on my OH profile... it's soooo much easier on myspace!! www.myspace.com/chambo) ... don't get me wrong... Lori, First of all happy Rebirth to you!! You have done an amazing job and look just beautiful. (counldn't view your myspace pics though ..) I have lost 105 pounds and am struggling with the last 25..... just like you said in your post I too still struggle with the demon that is addiction.. Now that I find I can eat somewhat normal. i am falling into old behaviors such as eating at night.... We both just have to dig deep and self talk..'i will get to goal, i will get to goal'..
