I'm baaaack
I'm back from Texas....just to annoy you all. (or should I say....y'all)
I went to Texas for the weekend and all I got were these 4 lbs of extra fat! That's right, I gained 4 lbs. I don't know how it's possible. That is an excess of 14000 calories. There is just noooo way that it's all fat! I watched it pretty well although everything that was served to me was wrapped in bacon, stuffed with cream cheese, or battered, deep fried and smothered in gravy. I watched my portions! I ate lots of fresh fruit and cheese in lew of other fattening crap, soooooooooo I'm hoping it's jus****er weight and bloat! Yuk!!! I feel like I swallowed a big ol' water ballon that's just sittin' in my belly. blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm HATING myself right now. I can actually see the weight in my waist, but I KNOW that there is noooo way I consumed an EXCESS of 14000 calories!!! That would be a total of 20,000 calories in three days. This HAS to be water weight....right? (Somebody talk me off the ledge!)
If it's THIS easy to gain the weight back....there is no way I'm going to keep this weigh off. I am just soooo upset.
I had a great time though! I slept and slept and slept! It was glorious! I rode a horse and it didn't even scream...."Get this fatty off of me!"

Now now C, don't be too hard on yourself. Thats our job.
It's OK if you gained a couple while on your trip. I'm sure alot of it IS water and you will lose it in no time. You probably ate things that were saltier than usual (bacon). I plan on enjoying things I usually wouldn't eat myself in Vegas. Even tho my 1 year checkup is the day after I get back home. It does illustrate for all of us just how easy it is to gain some weight even tho we had WLS. So in that respect you "took one for the team".
I'm glad you had a great time and welcome back, we missed you.
Tim
Vacations are apparently my undoing!
Remember last month....the camping trip? I gained then too.
I guess I won't be eating in Vegas....I'm all paranoid now.
It's almost like my body has re-calibrated itself to require less than normal calorie intake to survive. I ate a fraction of what everyone else ate! How that hell do you gain 4 lbs in 3 days on small to normal sized portions. I never stuffed myself. I ate until I felt full then stopped. High calorie food? Yeah....I was in the south! But I snacked on healthy stuff.....fruit/veggies/cheese. Hell...I ate a tomato with cracked pepper on it for breakfast yesterday...that was it!
I guess I'm just worried that it was just too damn easy to pack on the weight that unless I stay on a diet the rest of my life, the fat is going to come flying back on!
I have been peeing all morning long.....no difference in the scale though!
Can you hear me screaming!

I was going to make some snide comments to you until I read your post. Channan, take a deep breath. You're right there is no way you consumed that much. You body is just fluctuating. Did you eat saltier foods, drink less water? Is it that time of the month?
I think we need to give ourselves a break.. MOST normal people who never have WLS fluctuate 5 pounds in either direction. It's good you check on it, but PLEASE remember not to freak out. You are doing everything right. No one is perfect-- (remember my email to you)?
Love you sweetie.
By the way tried a tall decaf Americano with an extra shot and sugar free vanilla syrup. Added a bit of non-fat milk to it. Yummy.
Hey C,
Last Monday, I stepped on the scale and had gained 4 pounds since the day before. I jumped off and said wow, these things need new batteries! Then I wouldn't weigh again for a couple of days and when I did, still there. I have watched every morsel in my mouth this week and made sure I was on that treadmill every morning and still nothing. Today I weighed and they're gone. Scared the crap out of me too. I thought I still have 30+ pounds to lose, this can't be happening. I still don't know what happened, but I am just thankful I got back to where I was. I love your support here on this board, and I hope you guys have a great time in Vegas!
