Lap Band on 06/27/06

Hi Tim, I've been reading your profile and I congradulate you on your wonderful success. I just had Lap Band surgery June 27,2006. So my journey has just begun. I am so encouraged by all of the great success stories I have read. I cant wait until this time next year. I know you must feel great about your achievements. Which surgery did you have? I'm in the first two week liquid diet stage. Its been ok so far I cant believe I haven't had anything solid to eat in 9 days. I think this week might not be so easy as last week was. But I am going to do this once and for all. It helps me to read and see what others have accomplished. Well I just wanted to say hello and congradulate you on your wonderful weight loss success. Thanks Judy. Welcome to the losing side. Congratualtions on having your Lap Band surgery. You have made a big commitment to improving your health and your life. Get ready for one heck of a ride! I had an open RNY done and there isn't a day that goes by that I'm not amazed at how great I feel. My only regret is that I didn't do this a couple years ago when my doctor first suggested it. But then I wouldn't have met all the wonderful people here on this message board. The liquid diet part sucks but you'll be movin on to soft foods and more before you know it. You will have a few bad days diet wise but it does get better. I'm to the point now where I can eat pretty much anything I want. Just gotta remember to chew chew chew. Keep updating your own profie, you never know who you may inspire some day! Tim
