An angel? Who me?
Yep!
I am officially someone's wls angel here in AZ.
I'm very excited to do this for him, but I don't know what my responsibilities are. I posted this on the main board, but strangly, no responses. I guess you have to be in the "in crowd" over there to be heard. Hmmmmm.
Anyone know what my responsibilities are? I don't want to screw this up!!

I am an angel also. All I do is just be there. Give advice, listen, make suggestions, and recommend a call to the doc if needed. I visit when I can and just call and check on them if I haven't heard from them in a few days. Just let them know you are there for whatever they need. Some people need someone to be there in the hospital and at home. It really varies.
Hope this helps a little.

Hi C,
Not sure how far along your guy is or if he has had surgery or not but on the main board a few months back I saw someone thank their angle for the 'WLS survival basket' they had given to her. It was a few days before her surgery and it was a basket that had like boxes of SF jello, Propell, broth, some vitamins and stuff like that.. she had taken a picture of it and it was really cute... Just a thought.
