testing my new pic
Hi Shannan,
Sorry I never replied to this sooner. I totally suck! I have so little time on the computer anymore that if I don't get right on something I lost track of it. But I found this track again and wanted very much to acknowledge your wonderful message. I was very touched when I read it. Thank you! I have a hard time seeing myself in a positive light that way (I don't feel very pretty) that it is shocking to me to hear others say that about myself. So thank you! You made me feel good and it makes me smile every time I read your message. I also think that's cool you've been following my progress. It's funny how you don't know who all is reading what you write, huh? I've read your profile before, too. And I think you are absolutely stunning!
Take care hun! Thanks again. You made my day (a few of them actually! )
Hugs,
Lisa
You look fantastic and I really enjoyed your profile. All the pictures were great. I hope to get myself back on track soon. I have had some things come up in the last 2 months knock me off track but hopefully I will get back there soon. Also I would like to post some new pics on my page. Would you mind emailing me some tips on how to do that. I would really appreciate that. My email address is [email protected].
Thanks,
Tara
Hi Tara,
Sorry it took so long to reply to your message. I don't get a lot of computer time sometimes and that makes it hard to write back to all the wonderful folks (such as yourself!) who write to me. So sorry about that!!
Thank you very much for the compliment! It's always fun to hear that other folks read my profile. That inspires me to keep writing in it. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I read your profile. Yikes! What a year you have had. I hope you're able to get back on track real soon. I'm thinking of you.
How I put pictures on my profile is a couple-step process. First thing is you'll want to get a photobucket account. It's free - you just have to sign up. www.photobucket.com. You might have to copy & past that in a new browser window.
Once you have that, find a picture you want to upload. Open it with a program that allows you to modify the size of the picture (such as Microsoft Photo Editor). Go into Image and click on resize. Size it to where you like it (I usually go with something like 665/499 pixels) and save it on your hard drive (as a new name since you won't want to override the original).
Go back to photobucket (make sure you're in ) and click on the Browse button to add your picture. Browse to where your picture is saved at and add a description if you want. Then click on submit. Scroll down a bit and you should see your picture there.
Now open a new window to your OH profile and go to it as if you were going to update the text. Find a spot you want your picture to go and go back to photobucket. Find your picture and you'll see under your picture are 3 different things. (url, tag, & img). Click on the text next to the tag and copy that. Go back to your OH profile and paste what you just copied right where you want the picture to be. Once you click on update your profile, you'll see the picture there if you go to your main profile page.
I hope this helps. I've never explained how to do this before, so I hope it makes sense. Please feel free to ask if you have any questions.
Thanks again! I appreciated your kind words.
Take care,
Lisa
