But officer...it happened so fast!
I went camping this weekend.
Before surgery camping was a pig out smorgasbord....chips and dip, crackers, soda, baked potatoes, soda, smores, soda.... basically it was a junk food free for all.
I did do a little better this time, but not good enough!
I lost 4, count em', 4 lbs last week! I thought to myself, "Hell, I'm on a losing streak! I can splurge a bit and I'll probably STILL lose!"
This is the kind of thinking that got me to "critical mass" the first time around.
So........I indulged. Nothing too bad (pretzels and wheat thins mostly). To top it off....I layed in the hammock most of the time. I did take a nice long hike on Saturday, but I don't think it was enough to really burn anything up
People...In two days, I gained 5 lbs!
I have already dropped two of those, but still! That means a net gain of 3 lbs in two days!
I'm soooo mad at myself!
Lesson learned! Every bite counts! Every step I take counts! Every carb, every calorie, every every thing!
Beating myself up as we speak!

Read my post on your pot smoking-- I did the same thing yesterday. Gained 3 pounds in one day-- Now I know if I am OK, and stay on top of it, I can get it back under control---
But it's interesting, all the 'experts' seem to suggest weighing once a week. I actually think now that I am not expecting to lose a pound a day, weighing daily is a nice way to make sure I am staying in line and being honest with myself. What do you think?
