It's a beautiful morning

In southeast Michigan. I just went for a 3 mile walk. Now it's time for my yard work. What are YOU doing today to get your exercise in? Tim

Good for you Tim! It's also beautiful here in the SF Bay area. (I know, when ISN'T it?) I am also planning on doing some yard work--- I am planting some tomatoes, Sweet Basil, jalapeno peppers, zucchini squa****alian parsley, and of course some marigolds to naturally repel the bugs. Just hope the cats don't decide that my newly planted bed is their new litter box! I guess I'll just sprinkle some tangerine skins all over- works every time! Have fun enjoying your nice weather! How hot does it get there in the summer?

Gonna be about 80 today. A bit warmer than average for this time of year but still not too hot. It gets to the mid to upper 80's often during the summer with a few days above 90. Very rarely does it ever reach 100. Of course the humidity is awful. Thank God I work in a climate controlled shop as those places are just giant ovens in the summer when they aren't air conditioned. I used to work at one place where it often got up to 115/120 inside in the summer. Your garden sounds yummy. I love tomatoes and zucchini.

I hobbled around the block twice with the pooches. Then I did some stomach crunches and some leg lifts. Trying to do as much as possible. Any suggestions for non weight bearing cardio?

Do you have access to a swimming pool? Water aerobics is a great low impact cardio workout. Besides it gives you an excuse to buy a sexy new swimsuit! ( and you can bring it to Vegas!) Tim

Got the above ground pool opened, a large bed weeded, a fence row sprayed and bought a nice California merlot for later. That was a good weekend's work , with help, last year. Absofanfriggantastic! Dave

It was a beautiful day here in SW Michigan (Kalamazoo) too! It got up to an average of 86 all day...but we also went to Grand Rapids today and the temperature in my van read 92 while we were there. A little humid though so I didn't get outside to walk or play with my son like I wanted to, but I will definately get it in tomorrow if we have this weather again! Thanks for keeping us on our toes. Does walking around looking at cars or walking around in hobby shops count towards excercise? If so than I am good to go...LOL Mandie P.S. Crazy Michigan...I have lived here my whole life and I still cannot predict what one day will be to the next within the same season of the year. Yesterday it was only 53...and windy!!!
