10 months out. Iron low.
I went to my 10 month checkup today and found everything was great with my labs except my iron again. It's WAY too low. Being a vegetarian doesn't help. My doc has said if I can't get it up (stop it Channan!) in 3 months, I have to get transfusions every week. That really sucks. So, I'm gonna replace my beloved grits with eggs starting tomorrow morning. BUSY ass week -my eldest graduated. Kids are finally out of school and ALREADY bored. My mother in law is here for a month. My husband is being a butthead. I'm working all alone toward getting this huge loan to expand my business. Life is stressful. Sorry haven't posted a whole lot lately -
Love you all and really can't wait for Vegas to escape this mess.
Nan
Hiya Nan.....i also have issues with iron. Do you take any supplements? I would think that before you need to get transfusions, you could take a pill. I take Niferex 150 Forte 2x a day (prescribed) (if i remember...im bad). And why give up the grits, just have it as a side with the eggs.
My fiance loves grits...i cant even be near him when he eats them though...yuck...
I take a liquid B12 under the tongue. My iron was high at Gyno and she told me to stop taking the iron pills because it could be more damaging. I do not understand why mine is high... However, I do eat a lot of raw spinach. I eat a lot of green beans and brussle sprouts too. I take one centrum adult VItamin a day...
