Would this have happened a year ago?

I never know how to react to this. I guess it's not fair to snub or "punish" those who are being kind NOW for those whose misdeeds we suffered from as fatties. However, being the attention ***** that I am.....I'm never put off by the attention I receive now. Well that's not true......sometimes when I'm in a "mood", I get pissy about it! Kinda in one of those moods RIGHT NOW! He probably saw you and in his Primal Male sub-concious thought..."Hey, she's cute AND compromised.........SCORE!" Ya know........sort of like a wounded animal! HA! Love ya, C

I certainly do get more attention now than I did before the WLS. However, I regularly have had gentlemen open doors for me before WLS. No change. I often exchange chit chat with strangers in elevators. Since the WLS people are generally more receptive/pleasant in these short conversations. In 2000 we went to France. My knee (the same one that was operated on last Tuesday) gave me extreme pain so I was using a cane. I was 300+ pounds. We were in line at the Louvre. People noticed my cane and passed us up to the front of the line. Way cool. I've had similar courtesies extended previously. The big thing I've noticed, which I've mentioned before, is how much smarter I've gotten. People are significantly more receptive to my ideas and thoughts than they were before the weight loss. -Pam

Who knew something like gastric bypass would positively impact my IQ so. I think it is worth a scientific inquiry and a government grant to look into. -Pam
