Well, she's gone
My gallbladder, that is. I'm feeling pretty miserable- LOTS of gas pain and stomach muscle spasming that hurts like the dickens! But from what I hear, I will be feeling better in no time and have more energy than ever. I can't wait. This is more painful than my RNY, don't know why, but, eh, can't have it easy every time I guess!
Love ya
Michele
I am glad you finally were able to have it taken out. I had mine taken out in 1998. I had awful pains on and off...just like a light switch...as a matter of fact, one time my husband and I got in the car to go to the ER and it just stopped, so I told him to forget it. (That was before I knew it was my gallbladder). What finally woke me up on finding out what was causing so much pain was Christmas Eve 1997 (actually Christmas morning at 2 am) I woke up in tremendous pain and agony, and finally ended up in the ER with the symptoms full blown. I was hyperventalating so bad the nurses gave me a bag to do the breathing thing. I had my gallbladder removed at the end of January 1998, I even had the doctor save some of the stones so I could see what they looked like...I only have 2, but he said my gallbladder was just full of them. What the doctor told me is that gallstones have a tendency to occur with rapid weight loss, or just a constant up and down with dieting and weight loss and gain. Needless to say I have had my share of all of that...I just wish that all RNY surgeons would remove it at the time of WLS if it already has not been removed. (I know that is what my doctor said they do at Barix).
