Sitting on the Couch - Ouch

Yesterday I had arthroscopic surgery on my right knee. The surgeon cut out the torn meniscus and I'll know next week how bad the arthiritis is (he took pictures while in there). So, I'm sitting watching stupid tv typing on the computer. Feeling fine, however did have to experiment with the pain meds. I was prescribed with generic vicodin. Half an hour after taking the tablets, lots of pain in my chest. I called the pharmacist - they say it'll work fine all cut up. My husband mashes the pill, mix it with an oz or two of lemonade and drink it down. I followed it up with lots of water. No pain. For the rest of the day, pain meds will be mashed. Tomorrow they'll have a liquid version for me and that will make it easier. -Pam

Pammy, I had that surgery 5 years ago.. It was the weirdset thing waking up afterwards and finding my leg all bandaged up like that. Rest, heal, and do your exercises afterwards.. You will be jumping around like a jelly bean in no time!!! sending {{{{good healing vibes}}} to you Miss Pam. peace Mo
