mixed emotions... as last night my 3rd in a row showed up.. you guess it- my period... this has never happened before.. i always had to take medicine to give me the cycle (w/o ovulations) and now i've had 3- and they been boom boom boom- in each month- march (early march), april (a little later in the month) and now may(mid)... but wow... but i don't know if i "ovulated"... how do you know unless you never thought about it- and/or have tests done... i just think it's nice to get it.... something is working better now... with the weight gone.. but i did gain 10 pounds this week- TEN.. i'm back up to 168 this morning.... ???????? and on MOTHER"S day- i don't know to be like-thinking- happy thoughts- wow maybe someday i could have a child- or curse you .....for throwing that in my face once again on MOTHER"S DAY - ha ha ha..... and to dh- as i "promised" him some lovin "tomorrow night" and he just said- yeah your period will probably show- and it did.... opps.. got to love (or hate) the irony...of it all jennifer

Hey Jenn ~ My cycles were very erratic when I was overweight. In fact, I had to go on medicine to get my cycles going and then a second one to stimulate ovulation. It took a while, but I was able to get pregnant with my second son. The way the doctors could tell if I was ovulating was by taking my temperature every morning. Take it before you even sit up. If I remember correctly, there's a dip (lower than normal temp) just before you ovulate. Then a spike (higher than normal) when you ovulate. The temp stays up until just before your cycle (or continues to stay up if you're pregnant). When I wasn't ovulating, my temp chart looked like a bad month on the stock market (up and down, up and down - no rhyme or reason). Best of luck, Maria 272/154/155

How do I know I've ovulated? Because I get an "ache" in my right (or normally, my left) side below my hip and towards the front. I get it a day or so before a period actually starts. Kind of weird, eh? I wasn't as attuned to my body when I was younger, didn't notice it over the cramps. I have in the last year or two. -pam

I experience the same thing as Pam.....a sharp pain in my groin that comes and goes for several hours. Good luck to you babe! I know that this is something that you really want and have been hoping for for a long time. I pray that this happens for you. As for sex during your period...........try it in the shower!! It's perfect! There is nothing to clean up. I know your hubby is a big guy though, so you might have to get a bit creative, but you can make it work! Don't worry about the ten lbs....its all water weight! I bet you can feel it in your mid-section! YUK! As for the periods.....mine were practically non-existant pre-op. Maybe 3 times a year. It was actually kinda nice. Now....every month, but very light. They last 2 or 3 days tops and no more cramps! Phew!!! I DO have serious fluctuations in my moods and emotions though! It's like Dr. Jeckel and Mr. Hyde over here. My poor hubby is at a loss and just steers clear! I tell him to watch for flying plates! C
