Topic: Happy Anniversary July Babies
It's been a long time and dont know if anybody checks in anymore.  This is my anniversary.
Can you believe 6 years have gone by!  The batlle continues.  Never got under 200, my highest at surgery 326.. my lowest.. 216...my highest after surgery 263!  Decided to take the psychiatrist route.  Self-sabatoge was killing me.  I'm back down to 250.. I think 199 is in my future!

Hugs to you all!!!

Oh sweetie... don't feel like the lone ranger!  That 30 lb bounce is a *^(%%&%!  It seems like it showed up out of no where.  I understand.  But now sweetheart, you have two choices.... stay in the pity box and gain ALL your weight back (there are many who have) or fight like hell to maintain or lose.

Start tracking your food like you did in the beginning... get rid of the sugar, white carbs, fried foods, fast foods.  You know the drill.  Focus on protein, fruits, vegetable and drink your water.

Wall 30 minutes a day... it won't come off as fast as betore, but it will come off!

Be good to yourself.  You are not where you used to be.... so fight like hell to avoid it.  Your body will fight you to go back to it's highest if you don't get in gear now.

Hugs!

I have come back to the place that I thought I would never be....although I am no where near where I was have gained at least 30 lbs....WTH happened....I felt like I was given  gift and part of me feels like a failure each time I put something on that doesnt fit like it did last summer.  I am 6 years post op but I have lost all motivation to excercise and do what I know is right! I am so ANGRY with myself...

The same reasons I have gained weight in the past are slowly creeping back up school schedule hectic job schdule not enough time to go to the gym... blah blah blah...  ARRRGH

I need help with finding that motivation again I REFUSE to increase another dress or pant size...

Just looking for some encouraging words and even some tought luv..

Thanks

Hey Teah!

Let's do it!  Maybe we can revive this dead site!  I was in your area a couple of weeks ago for  Salsa Dance Congress near O'Hare.  It was awesome, I danced my feet blue.

So what shall we do... post our plans in the morning and how we did at night... like the old days!!Oh how I wish I had followed instructions to the letter at the beginning of this journey so this stage would not be necessary.  Oh well, it is what it is.

I miss the old gang!

So let's do this!!

Hi Ladies,

I'm in the same boat gaining 25-30 pounds that i absolutely hate.  how did the pouch test work?  any advice is greatly appreciated.  I am starting over and going back to my roots so to speak.  I was working out religiously and some how some where things fell off and I am here not working hard to get this in perspective.

Thanks

Hi Denise!!!!!

I've not been on this site in ages.  I was discussing with my mom today that I was going to go back to eating like I did when I had the surgery.  It is funny that you say that about the pouch and about the six months, i am pretty close to where I was as well, I need to go back and check my profile, but now that explains everything.  I need to be more diligent as well, getting back to the way things were.  i brought my old protein shakes and everything.  I need a buddy, you encourage me and i encourage you!!!

Topic: Barium Swallow - Pouch Still Small!
Well.. I had a barium swallow and to my surprise, 6 years out, my pouch is still small.  So... why did I gain.  Well, according to the doctor between 6-10 years out, your body will fight to take you back to your weight at 6 months out, unless you have been diligent!  Which I have not! I weigh exactly what I weighted at 6 months!! UGH!!

There is hope though.  Diligence will work again.  It will be a little harder this time, my body has a set point in mind and I've got to fight with all my might to change it.  In essence, if I want this, I have to be willing to fight my body tooth and nail.  Diligence, commitment and obedience.  Not my strong suit, but I'm going for it!

Hope you are too!
