Okay everyone - where are you? Did you get that off track over Thanksgiving and you don't want to post? Are you all just really busy? What's up?!!!!! If you're off track, you still need to post. Hey, we all understand - that's why we're here, to support each other. Did you all happen to see Carnie Wilson on Entertainment Tonight last night? She was talking about gaining back some of her weight. She was open and honest right there are NATIONAL TELEVISION!! Come on - we can at least be open and honest here on this July 2004 forum. I understand if you all are busy - I am too. But let's try to keep in touch. I would hate for us all to let this board to be inactive. Did you all vote for OH to come to your state? Hey everyone A quick checkin: I have two sick kiddos. One has weird spots on her feet, legs and arms. It started Thanksgiving evening and it's spread. Not sure what it is exactly. The ones on her feet are the only ones that she says itch. No blisters to them. So not like chicken pox or hand, foot and mouth disease. ??? I'm clueless. Then last night, my other daughter started throwing up, then the one with the spots started throwing up as well - so I guess we're adding a tummy virus to the mix. My son, has no spots and no vomiting. *sigh* We were supposed to go to my husband's brother's house today to celebrate Thanksgiving with his family after church. We're not going to church or to his brother's and we might just be heading to urgent care today. We shall see. Anyway, just wanted to check in and let you all know I'm still here - just busy with sick kiddos and my hubby home. Hope everyone is doing okay. Traci

Morning everyone I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving. I did. Not all of my adult children were able to make it to my parents' house, as they had to go to their in-laws, but that's okay. That's part of them growing up and getting married I suppose. Today is going to be a lazy day with my hubby and kiddos. We'll watch movies and stay close to home. I'm trying to avoid the holiday crowds at the stores. What's everyone else doing? Any of you hit the Black Friday sales? Traci

Yesterday I sent off the cashier's check to pay for my son's WLS. He has to be on the liver shrinking diet for 3 more weeks, attend a class for pre-op patients on December 5. They will schedule his surgery when they get the check. He is so excited. I am proud of him--he is doing so well staying on the strict diet. I did not have to do that. Monna

Hi Traci and all, I'm going to my niece's for T'giving. I might make my sugar-free Jell-o pudding pie, although I suffer less from real sugar than I do from Splenda or sugar alcohols. We'll see. I'm not planning to do anything special other than to concentrate on more protein, less carbs. It's one day out of the year, and while I know the importance of sticking to our post-surgery regimen, I feel the need to be 'human' and enjoy myself eating-wise for one special day. I'm doing better eating-wise than I was earlier in the week. It's like every now and again I need to indulge in some carby stuff, get it out of my system and then I'm good to go again.
