Topic: What's your goal for today? How'd yesterday go?
My goal is the same ... stay away from sugar, white carbs and fast food. Yesterday I did about 30%. No fast foods. I did protein drinks all the way up until 6:00 pm and then I lost it! Microwave popcorn! Instant oatmeal (which contained sugar). It coud have been worse. The scale dropped one pound to my surprise.
So... I'm grateful for another day to try again.
So... here we go... how about you!
Hugs!

Congrats on the marriage. Sorry to hear about the miscarriages (know that feeling all too well) Try to remain positive and hopefully things will work out for you the next time.
I'm still around. Post sporadically on the Main board and others, but haven't had as much time, nor desire to post as much as I used to (seems some folks use the boards for sport rather than support)
I'm still below goal, though managed to regain the pounds I wanted to. Health is fine. Getting life back on track itself and trying my best to enjoy it. DH is doing well too since his surgery in Feb '07.
It's been a very busy couple of years (since fall of '06) but we're slowly getting things back on track again.
Hope everyone is doing well out there.

Congrats Denise on recommitting. Remember the first day is always the hardest, so get through this and you've got it made!!
Did you ever try the 5 Day Pouch Test? I did it a couple of times and it really helped to detox and get me on the right road.

Hey Nancy!
You made good choices for the middle of the night! Kudos!!! Stick with SB, it works. Your body may just be adjusting. Keep doing the plan and it will show great results. I'm going cold turkey today with all protein drinks. I'm water loading (crystal lite) my pouch so I can feel it and perhaps shrink it. I've done this before and it works. I'm just struggling with consistency. I'm motivated today. I don't want to buy a new wardrobe!
We will do this together. Thanks for hanging in there with me!
HUGS!
Denise

Hi Denise,
It's good to be back and I look forward to meeting with my July baby pals!
I'm staying on track - I'm a little disappointed that I seem to be gaining in the past few days. I had been down to 179 and am now up to 181 even though I've been sticking to the SBD nearly 100%. Oh well, I'll continue to continue for now.
Today I'm eating:
B: tomato juice, some chicken, coffee
S: string cheese
L: 1/2 cheese and spinach omelet
S: cucumbers with Laughing Cow cheese
D: salmon with asparagus and tossed salad
D: SF jello with cottage cheese
Today my goal is to not eat past 9 PM. I could go all day without eating as long as I could eat at night. I really have to break that bad habit. I started trying on Monday night and did great, but last night was a disaster. I even got up out of bed and had some FF/SF pudding. Sigh. Well, all we can do is try, right!!
Hang in there Denise!! We can do this together!!
Hugs,
Nancy

Mine is staying away from white carbs, sugar and fast food...
You know... following the rules! I had to break down and buy some new pants yesterday. My old pants were so tight they looked obscene. I thought I'd better swallow my pride and buy the next 2 sizes up before I get arrested.
I knew if I stopped checking in here with the July babies I would gain, and true to form I did. So... whether you guys respond or not, I need to check in here daily to get back and keep on track.
So, that's what I'm doing today... how about you!
Hugs!
FAT Denise!!!

Hey July friends comeout comeout wherever you are!!!! We are all turning four, and we need each other more than ever!!!! I have gained a good 20 lbs. and I am ashamed and struggling, after you've had this operation and are not skinny, people really hink there is something wrong with you.....it's not easy!!!!! There a so many issues with weight!!!!!!!! It never gets easy. And as soon as you slack off a little bit those pants get tight very quickly and before you know it your looking at fat clothes again ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:angst:

Hey Nancy!
Congratulations on the 11 lbs. My doctor recommends South Beach highly. When I got to my lowest weight post op, I was on South Beach. I'm going to take a couple of days and try and detox from sugar and fast foods and then join you on South Beach.
I hope we can revive the board. I've missed "the family"!
Let's check in daily...even if it's just to say hello!!!
Hugs!

Hi Denise!!!
I'd be SO happy to see the July babies back together for a support group! You all are like a family to me and we were always able to help each other out.
Maybe we should start in July as a reunion and reinforcement group!!! Or better yet, maybe we should start now and get going!!
I'm continuing on the South Beach Diet and so far have lost 11 lbs. in about five weeks.
Looking forward to seeing everyone back again!!!
Hugs,
Nancy
