Hi Nancy...
I do feel really good about how well I'm doing. And, when I went back to sleep this morning and woke up again, it was 285.4... and I checked 3 times!!! I really am not that much into the scale, but for some reason its more important to me than it has been in the past. HEY EVERYONE, I totally agree with Nancy, where are you!!!?? I know your reading!!! I made a few adjustments today...
B: I ended up having a protein bar because I overslept
L: stuck with the flatbread from LC, but also had some salad with raisins and walnuts that was leftover from a training.. had the house dressing, maybe 2 tbs. It was a very concious decision, and not really just "Oh that looks good". I was apprehensive because of the dressing.
I had another protein bar from the ride over to a branch that I helped out in after I got out of my branch.( I work in a bank)
S: I ended up having breakfast for supper; Special K with B. berries.
I found something to liven up my water over the weekend. I have really been trying to just stick with plain water. I found those little single servings of flavor that you can add to make a drink. Its called Special K protein powder that you add to your water. 5 gr. Protein, 5 Fiber, no sugar, 30 cals. I bought the Straw/Kiwi and it was awesome!!! Has anyone else tried this??? I will post tomorrow for my meals...Im getting out at noon time and going grocery shopping and we have no kids tomorrow, so I think we may go out. I will let you know!!!

Ahhh, remember the old days right after surgery when you could lose 5 lbs. a day!! I'm glad your BIL is doing so well.
Hang in there with the weight slowdown Lisa - and make sure you're eating enough or you won't lose.
I got back on track yesterday, stayed true to my plan and lost a pound this morning.
Here's the plan for today:
B: Eggbeaters, 1 sl turkey bacon, coffee, V-8
S: zucchini slices with lemon hummus
L: tossed salad with grilled chicken or chicken salad, and asstd. veggies.
S: lite Jarlesberg cheese with sliced almonds
D: chicken tenderloins - just got to figure a way to make them...maybe grilled or stir fry, tossed side salad
S: yogurt with 2 Tbs. natural PB
Hope everyone has a great day - hey all you July babies - Lisa and I are waiting for you to check in!
Hugs,
Nancy

Hey Lisa - you've been doing great!! Hope keeping off the foot helps it heal quicker!
I had a not so great weekend. I felt like I needed a break from the SBD and ate a few things I shouldn't have - pizza (at least it was thin crust), chocolate covered pretzels, and even Cheez Doodles! I did it to get it out of my system....so I'm back on SBD, Phase 1 again today. Can you believe that with just those few things I gained 2.5 lbs?!?!? Why is it so easy to put on and so hard to take off??
Anyway, I've bee OK so far - here's the plan for today:
B: Eggbeaters with lf cheese, 1 sl. turkey bacon, coffee and V-8
S: zucchini slices with lemon hummus
L; lettuce wraps with chicken salad, mushrooms, tomato and red roasted peppers
S: lite Jarlesberg cheese with some sliced almonds
D: salmon over big tossed salad
S: ricotta cheese or yogurt with 1 T natural PB
Hope everyone has a great day!!
Hugs,
Nancy
Topic: For Sunday
Boy, everyone must be busy!!! I feel like I'm "talking" to myself! Last night we ended up going out to a roadside restaurant we never tried about 20 miles from here. I have been off my foot and he didnt want to cook, and my sister in law took Jenni from the party. So, we had Italian. They have homemade bread. OMG Delicious. They brought out pats of butter and there was one promise. I chose the promise. I ordered Veal Parm w/Ziti. I ate one half of one of the VP and about half the ziti. The most I have eaten in a while. I was SO full. So, I did "splurge" or ate more than I normally would. But, thats ok. Here is today:
B: Special K w/wild Maine blueberries
L: A LC meal
S: Steak with corn on the cob and cukes and tomatoes from the garden
How is everyone??????????
Hugs Lisa
Topic: Its the weekend!!!!
So, I did more damage to my foot by not staying off of it like I should have when I first hurt it. I spent all day yesterday in the hospital. More Xrays, very bad sprain and bruised bone. I have to stay off of it all weekend and Im on crutches. I had my protein bar yesterday morning because we were out of milk. I didnt have lunch, and finally had another protein bar around 730 when my hubby stopped at CVS to pick up my prescription and bought me another protein bar and water. When I got home, him and my daughter bought take out chinese, I had a chef salad but put my own Light Honey Dijon dressing. I could have done better I suppose, but I really wanted the chinese food!!! Im still not drinking any soda at all, and Ive actually stuck to plain water for the past week. So here's how today is looking:
B: Quaker BB weight control Oatmeal
L: Sm. Wendys chili w cheese over salad, cukes and gr. tomatoes fresh from the garden.
S: daughter and hubby at my great nephews 1st bday party, I stayed here to stay off my foot, not sure what they'll want, but I know Im not cooking. My husband gets mad if I get up to go to the bathroom... LOL...(I truly am very blessed; 20 years married in May, 22 years together in May, I got married 3 weeks after I turned 20!).
So, will post later what I choose. Hubby met with our physician yesterday and he is entering the program for surgery!!! He is a perfect candidate, although not quite a BMI of 40, he has several co-morbidities, uncontrolled diabetes being one of them. He also had a spontaenous double dissection of his arterial wall and had to have an emergency triple by pass on NYDay of 2002. He was only 32! They are thinking it was a birth defect, because the condition is SO rare. Regardless, he is now a heart patient. So, this surgery is a good step on the way to better health for him. I want to be his mentor and helper, and to do that I have to set a good example. I actually have never felt this determined to change.
I hope everyone is at peace and doing well.
Love Lisa

Hi Lisa!
I'm so happy to see you sticking to the plan.
Sorry I didn't check in yesterday. I'm still really busy at work and to top it off, I didn't feel well either. My stomach was very upset - pains and rumbly all day. I'm feeling a little better today, bu****ching what I eat. I had a small amount of Eggbeaters for breakfast, and brought some to work with me...I'm going to stay very bland. I also brought a slice of whole wheat bread and figured I could have eggs and toast for lunch. We'll see how I feel this evening - probably won't have any more than maybe some Egg Drop soup or something. I hate when I don't feel good....
Have a great day everyone!!
Hugs,
Nancy

Topic: Plan for today - Wednesday, 8/13
Hi!
Well, I've been not such a good girl the past couple of days. I haven't gone off SBD foods, but I've been over-eating - especially at night - peanuts, cool whip, etc. I really have to get myself back on track. It seems like I get close to goal and I sabotage myself...what's that about???? I had an extremely stressful day at work and wanted to eat cake and ice cream and chips and pretzels, but I didn't.... I did eat a lot. I sometimes wonder if I'll ever understand my obsession with food and have a healthy relationship with it. If I'm not able to control myself shortly, I'll maybe try the 5 day pouch test again.
Anyway, here's the plan for today:
B: The usual, eggbeaters, 1 slice turkey bacon, V-8, coffee with skim milk
S: zucchini with lemon hummus
L: lettuce wrap with chicken, red peppers, mushrooms, cheese
S: sliced almonds
D: big tossed salad with grilled chicken
S: going to try to limit to Jello
How's everyone else doing????
Hugs,
Nancy
