Topic: More to Lose....Tuesday 4/25
Hello Everyone, This is weird, but I got on the scale this morning and its down to 181 again. Something tells me that this number may be sticking around for a while. I did great yesterday, only had 3 tootsie rolls to satisfy my sweet tooth. Today's Plan: Breakfast Protein Smoothie Lunch Broccoli Cole Slaw w/FF Italian and Rotissere (sp?) Chicken Dinner ?? Not sure Snacks Frozen Fruit Popcorn 100 Cal pack Have a great day! Teah

Keep on the train....we are all on the same track.......I am having such problems with protein that my drinks are a lifesaver. Chicken and fish won't go down this past month. I guess we all go through cycles. I am down and holding at 161...should see a change soon as I have seen that number for a few days now. Only 12 till goal butevery pound is like what 5 used to be. Hi Cindy, Well I am one step ahead of you but have all your symptoms. I have had a visit with the doctor and an upper GI series but STILL waiting on the results which promise to be back this week. I can bloat so much that I have to LITERALLY unfasten my pants and even had to take my bra off at work...thank God for sweaters!!! Gas and everything....I was told that caffine is a bad one but it is the only thing I can't give up. I need at least one or ususally two cups of coffee a day. I will let you know my outcome but keep waiting on the appointment. The symptoms are new and quite bothersome...Take care Karen

Absolutely!!! How much have you lost? I'm still trying to make goal. I'm 50 lbs away. It's an uphill battle, but I'll get there. Like you, I miss the faster weight loss we witnessed at the beginning of this journey, although I must admit I've already been rather a slow loser!!! Keep you the good work... Denise

I didn't know about the bounce back theory. I too had gained about 10 pounds the last 6 weeks, but got them off, now I am really fighting to maintain. But....I guess I have the rest of my life to maintain so I better find some positive focus right????

Hey Cindy! Congrats on your success.... You may want to focus your goal on staying the same.... There are many on older post ops that have complained about a 10-20 lb bounce right around the 2 year mark. So.... take it as positive reinforcement that your numbers are still the same!!! Denise

I am struggling to maintain. As you said, this is a lifelong journey. I am also having some issues with finding a new goal to focus on now that I am at goal, and the scale hasn't moved in 5-6 mo. I liked the positive reinforcement it gave me to see those numbers go down, down, down. Now I need to find a new positive reinforcement. It's hard a hard battle for me at times to be happy where I am. Must accept the fact that they did "rgery on my stomach, not my head" as they all say!! I am having lots of problems with gas, and extreme bloating to the extent that my stomach, (belly area) is enlarged with anything I eat or drink. I have to take OTC antacids or gasX type chews to relieve some of the pain. This is new to me in the last month or so. I have added only a couple of new foods/drinks to my diet. One is caffine. Anyone know if that may be causing my problem? However even if I drink water, or eat my lunch I get terrible gas and great bloating to where my pants are tight and uncomfortable. Got any helpful hints/ideas for me?? All are welcomed at this point. I have contacted my DR. but he cannot see me for a few weeks as he is booked solid right now. Thanks in advance for your help!!
