Hi Nancy, Its good to hear from you. As long as you are having more good days than bad, that's what counts. I know about the self sabotage. It seems as though I'll lose and when I realize a loss then I eat too much of something and push myself back up. Its a wicked cycle. I'm sorry to hear about the sciatica, I hope you get better soon, so you can get back to doing your WATP! Take care and hang in there. Teah

No regrets whatsoever! I have a life now - I have quality now. I feel good about myself and most of all, I feel healthy. I can walk for miles...hey, I can actually RUN!! I sleep better, I breathe better, I look better, I feel better. Today I have hope for a long and active life. Two years ago, I was on so many medications it was ridiculous. Gastric bypass gave me my life back and more.... Hugs, Nancy

Hi Teah - I'm glad you're keeping the train going! I've been struggling a bit here and there. Good days and bad ~ haven't been on the scale. It seems that when I start doing well, I sabotage myself - I don't know why. Anyway, I'm doing the best I can at the moment. Haven't been exercising lately; I have sciatica and it's been so painful I haven't been able to sleep. It's finally starting to subside, so I'm going to start exercising slowly and gently. I can't believe this couch potato is saying this, but I've missed exercising! Hanging in there...... Hugs, Nancy

Topic: More to Lose...4/26
Hi Where is Everyone? The train is looking pretty empty these days. I hope everyone is still on track. I'm doing pretty good, I got on the scale and it read 179. I haven't had so many fluctuations in a long time. This morning my stomach looked flatter. This is very weird considering that I had been back and forth between 181 and 183 for about a week. Hopefully I will be holding on to the 179 until Monday...That's my official weigh in day. Today's Plan Breakfast 1/2 Toast Egg, Turkey Sausage Lunch Chicken and Broccoli Slaw Salad Dinner Chicken and Brussel Spourts Snacks Frozen Fruit Protein Smoothie? I'm keeping the train going. "CHOO-Choo!" Teah

Topic: RE: Anyone relate to this?? Helpful Hints??
I have had the same problem, and it really seems to have increased lately. Same thing here, even a glass of water can make me bloat/gassy. It's always worse when I've had any kind of sugar or sugar alcohols ~ even too much Splenda will get me going. I may not dump on sugar in the traditional sense, but I suffer another kind of pain which helps keep me away from it. I don't think it's the caffeine - I've been drinking one cup of coffee in the morning for a little over a year, and I haven't had the problem until recently. If anyone has the definitive answer, I'd love to hear it! Hugs, Nancy

Hi Cindy! I had the mjavascript:setMainIcon('smile',15,15)ost awful gas- so bad in fact, my husband asked my surgeon about it. I take Devrom- available online without a prescription at devrom.com. It will help with amount and odor of intestinal gas. The way it was explained to me was that any time the intestines are opened bacteria finds a way in. This bacteria produces the gasses. People who have had colostomies can suffer like us. The Devrom helps with the gas and odor- but the bloating sounds like a bigger problem. I hope this is helpful. Good Luck! Jeniffer
