Hey Denise
Don't worry, I'll be a passenger on this train, until it reaches its final destination and sits there for at least 5 years. I am having the orange beef and it is so good! Tastes better than the one I make. I picked up a few of the SB flavors that were on sale and some of the Weigh****chers and Lean Cuisine. Overall though I think SB is probably the best because they contain the most protein per serving.
I hated to go back to this, because it feels like before when i was constantly dieting, but when ever I had the frozen meals and stuck with fresh fruit, I didn't go wrong. So what ever works and keeps me healthy.
Now if someone could just push me to exercise, I'd be ok.
BTW, thanks for the info about the Meet and Greet.

Karen - I think you're right - we need to use whatever tool we can to motivate ourselves.
I know when I am not eating right I feel sluggish and lazy - that's not why I had this surgery and I feel guilty and annoyed with myself when I do it. I'm still working on figuring out my relationship with food. Right now I'm working on leaving some on the plate when I'm done. I was always taught as a child that it was sinful to waste food and had to clean my plate whether I was hungry or not. Now I'm trying to really figure out when I'm full, and if there's still food left, I can throw it out or save it for later. I'm also trying not to think of it as dieting, but as re-learning how to eat.
Hey, I'm sure you're going to look really HOT at that party!! If you feel it, you'll be it!!
Hugs,
Nancy

Hi fellow travelers!
Denise - on passing those bagels by!! I love the Panera Asiago cheese bagel...haven't had one in quite awile, but ooh, they are so yummy!
I did well yesterday - got a bit derailed at home and had some yogurt Cheerios, but didn't really pig out on them. I walked a mile on the treadmill in the afternoon, and did the WalkBlaster last night, so I feel better about things this morning. I'm feeling strong and committed today - it's a good feeling.
Here's my plan for today:
B: Isopure Zero Carb protein drink
L: Unjury protein powder in lemonade
D: Chicken breast (skinless), with a green salad
Snacks:
Lowry's microwave pork rinds
WW Flakes & Fiber cereal, or
Carb Fix pretzels (my last bag, they're now off the market...WAHHH)
Totals:
Calories: 606
Carbs: 12
Protein: 90
I hope to do the treadmill again this afternoon, and another WATP video this evening.
Hope everyone has a great, healthy day!!
Hugs,
Nancy

Hey Teah!!!
I'm glad you're still on the train... I've missed you!!! Those frozen meals are quite expensive. The South Beach ones are pretty tasty. My favorites are Orange Beef and Cashew Chicken.
I still believe WE CAN DO THIS!!! !!!
Have a great day!!!

Hey,
I'm glad that you found something that is working for you. I decided to try the frozen meals, I picked up about a week's worth last night.
So we'll see how that goes. I also forgot how expensive they were...whew! But if it helps me lose weight then I'm all for it.
Today's Plan:
Breakfast
Yogurt w/Grapenuts
Lunch
South Beach Orange Chicken
Dinner
Another frozen meal
Snack
Protein Smoothie
Citrus Salad

Hi Denise and Nancy,
Good luck on your new meal plans. I haven't decided to jump on that train yet. But I'll be here cheering you guys on. Its weird that we all experienced some sort of gain around the same time.
Have a great week.

Good morning...
Guess what? Today is Tuesday... the day the pool has free goods from the St. Louis Bread Company (I think it's called Panera's in other cities). Anyway... today, I kept walking. I did not stop by the table. I fought temptation. Could it be I'm finally on a roll (pardon the pun)! Yesterday was pretty good! Oh, if only I had discovered AchievOne early in this process. Poured over ice, it does taste like a regular flavored iced coffee and... it doesn't give me the wind!! TMI!!! Here's today's plan:
Breakfast:
Scrambled Egg
Lunch:
AchievOne
Salad
Dinner:
AchieveOne
Exercise:
1 hr water aerobics....
Have a great day!!!
Any other passengers on the train... or am I traveling solo!

Topic: No one recognized me!
On Sunday, my husband's family had a family reunion. I've met his many relatives numerous times over the last 8 years. Still, no one knew who I was! Well, his important aunts and uncles knew, of course. They're the ones who see me much more regularly. But the family from out of town...NOPE!
One of my husband's uncles proceeded to introduce his entire family to me...as if he hadn't been to my wedding reception. One of Alan's aunts took him aside and asked if I was his wife. When he told her yes, she asked if I was the same wife from before. ANOTHER aunt asked my father-in-law who I was.
Back in the old days, I was SOOOO excited for people not to recognize me. I wanted to look so different that it blew everyone away. Of course, the only person up until this weekend to have to look twice at me was my brother-in-law, who's been in Germany since right before my surgery. But it's really weird...I felt extremely out of place instead of a shocking beauty. It's almost like these people wouldn't have known me no matter what I looked like. Alan says it's just because I've lost so much weight, but it makes me feel funny inside. I WANTED to be unrecognizable...but now it makes me feel kind of stupid. Does that make sense?
Maybe I'm a nutcase.
Just thought I'd share a "wow" moment that wasn't so much "wow" as scary.

Topic: Nova Scotia is the Key..!!!!
Hello Folks,
Well just to comment on Nancy's wonderful trip to Nova Scotia...we do need something to look forward to. I used to always hear how terrible it was to "diet" with a short term goal in mind (i.e. a wedding or trip) but I think we are all in a different place now than 'regular' dieters and we need those wonderful short term goals to help us reach our big goal. This road is too long to not try every trick we can to reach our gaol. I think we all need to get some short term goals in sight. Mine is a June 9th party. That is just a few weeks away and you know I selfishly just want to look "hot". I have no lofty goal of health in mind...it is purely to look good...I think that is ok....hahahahahahaha
Hugs to all,
Karen
