HI all, I have been approved for RNY. I am scheduled May 23rd. Ahhhh..I can't believe I've come this far. For two years or more I have considered this or lapband. Finally, I am moving forward. Anyhow, I have done much research, read all the con's, but realized now I need to hear some positive or just some truth about how post ops feel at different stages. i.e 2 wk post op, 6 wk post op, 1 year, 2 years and more. So..please whoever would like to respond, I would most certainly appreciate it. DC Scheduled May 23, 2006 5'4" /234

DC, Sounds like we are very close in starting weight & height. You should read my profile if you have time. I have been so blessed and again to reiterate others "regrets" I wished I done this in my 20's or 30's instead of 40's.......but loving life now and never have regreted one thing. Again if you are somewhat healthy and don't have too many health problems you should do fine. I was well on my way too more problems and this has stopped it in it's tracks and gave me back a life.....Best of luck and email us anytime you have questions. Follow your doctors orders and you can never ask enough questions....since this is your life!! Enjoy!!! hugs Nadine 7/18/2004 surgery starting 213 today 110
