More to Lose ... Friday's Game Plan
Hi Denise I am new to this board...I usually post on the Indiana boards.
I will be 18 months out on the 28th. I was a slow looser....I was not getting in enough food...I was skipping meals (wasn't hungry). Now I am following my surgeons guidebook and TRYING to get in my 1200-1500 calories a day...it's hard
I always slow way down on my loss if I go under 800 calories a day...my body starts that starvation conservation and I only loose a 1 or 2 a month.
My game plan in the last 3 months has been to take in 1200-1500 calories a day. My intake is composed of 50% complex carbs, 40% protein and 10% fat. Pretty much the same as the food pyramid.
Well...so far the results are: 7 pound loss in November and 4 pound loss in December
I should have another 4-5 pound loss this month. I am keeping a food diary...which helps keep me on track and helps me to NOT skip meals...my main problem
This is a good idea to post daily....kinda like my food diary. I love the support from these boards!!! Take care and happy journey to you and everyone!!!

Hi Debbie!!
Wow... Congrats on your weight loss so far. I love that you have such a positive "happy dance" attitude about the last 10 lbs.!! You look fantastic. I can't wait to be like you!! I think I should up my calories. I have a hard time staying below 800 at this stage of the game anyway. I tend to blow it. So... if I allow myself more calories, perhaps I can stay to plan.
Happy early re-birthday!
Denise
Thanks Denise!! You seem to be a great source of inspiration to the boards...you seem very positive and caring
I had to up my calories...I stalled out big time last summer and the dietitian told me if I take in less than 1100 calories a day (for my height & weight) I wouldn't loose much. So I increased my intake...and it started coming off again. Another thing I did was make sure I got in my required complex carbs (veggies, fruits, whole grains)and the weight is just coming off. I am still having trouble getting in all my food each day and I have slumped under 800 calories a few times ****sigh**** I just drink a few extra glasses of milk (2%) if I get lazy and don't eat all 3 of my meals That's a whopping 183 calories for 12 ounces and 12 grams of protein....I have been low on protein twice since surgery...so I try to get in my 70-90 grams a day now...it's back to normal...thank goodness.
Keep up the good work!!!
