Howdy from Georgetown Texas
Well, folks, life goes on and we always wish for a little more time each day to finish everything we have to do! Seems like ages since I've seen on line so wanted to say hi. Life is good. I've been stable on weight since the summer ( about 160-165). I decided this was a good weight for me because my face, chest, back, butt, legs, etc. are thin but that tummy is crying for a tummy tuck. So I'm debating whether to go for it or not. Talk me into it! Money and pain vs. that smaller waist and pants that fit finally! What do you think? ha
Hey, this was weird, this was the first year I didn't make a New Year's Resolution to join Weigh****cher's or a vow to lose pounds and pounds of weight. Instead I followed Oprah's suggestion and started a gratitude journal. I write at least 5 things I'm grateful for. Once you get by the obvious then you dig deep. Sometimes I find things to be grateful for even in the "challenging" times. I learn some good lessons. So on those days I eat too much--I'm grateful for the reminder that I can eat more sometimes and I have the tools now to get back on track---I walk extra laps or just plain get back with it and move on. I refuse to get back on that wheel of blame, guilt, overeating, self punishment, etc. So just love yourself enough to say--Hey, I screwed up, learn from it and move on.
May your year be great. Don't forget where we came from and more important everything we have to look forward to.......
Cheers Everyone!

Hi Bunny - so nice to see you here! It sounds like you're doing great!
I love the idea of a gratitude journal - I have a tendency to see the glass half-empty and I'll bet that would really help. I think I'll give it a try.
Wishing you a wonderful, happy and healthy new year!
Hugs,
Nancy

Bunny,
What a wonderful idea for the gratitude journal!! I love how you are reaching and finding all the wonderful things to be grateful for. It is nice to think of overeating as something to be grateful for as a learning experience.
I am struggling with the last 80 lbs. I have been posting and went back to tracking on fitday.com and the scale is finally moving again. I still get sick with sugar and I am grateful for that. I can't really overeat, because I still get sick, but I can certainly make poor choices.
Good to hear from you. Keep on doing great.

Hi Bunny,
Good to see you again...I haven't been posting too much, either, although I try to check-in and read the July-baby posts as often as possible. Glad to hear "life is good" for you and that you're at a stable weight. I'm very much the same. No complaints -- happily maintaining a weight of 132 - 135 (who would've thought that was ever possible). I'm trying very hard not to get "****y" about the weight loss -- I know that this is a lifelong journey and I will ALWAYS need to watch what I eat!
Love the idea of your gratitude journal! I had the same thought on New Years Eve that this is the first year I don't have to think about making a resolution to lose LOTS of weight! My resolution this year was to add some variety to my exercise and to stay healthy! I'm feeling fabulous at 52!
I'm going to try to post more often -- hope you do too!
Take care!
