Hi Gals,
Denise and Nancy and all....I'll be around too this weekend checking a few times a day if need be....I take it step by step and I pray that next week when the kids are back at school and I am back teaching....that my new routine leaves enough time for me...take care Hugs Karen
I used fit day today, my weight is still holding steady at 183. Here's what I ate today:
Slimfast High Protein (15)
3 Starbust Candies
4oz Raw Chicken Burger (18)
5 Brussel Sprouts
2 T Scallop Potato
1.5oz Honey Roasted Peanuts (11)
4oz Raw Chicken Burger (18)
5 Brussel Sprouts
1T Scallop Potato
4 potato chips
1 medium orange
On first glance, this doesn't look too bad to me. But when I entered the results into fitday.com, here's what I got:
Calories 1031
Fat 52
Carbs 88
Protein 65
I need to lower the fat and carbs and increase the protein. I'm not too sure if the calories are in the correct range, but I am still hungry as I type this. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Teah
Hi Teah!
You might want to increase your protein to 100. Protein stays in your pouch longer, so you don't get hungry as fast. Be sure to wait at least 30 minutes before drinking after you eat. Drinking fluids while eating or too soon after causes the food to flush through your pouch faster.
Thanks for walking this journey with me.... We can do this!!
Denise
My 1 1/2 year re-birth is Jan 12th, so it is coming up, I wanted to be at 185 lbs when I see my surgeon, this morning i weighted in at 184
I am planning on getting back on track to going to Curves. It has been a month and with work it was impossible to get there and make it through my nights working as a cashier at Walmart. (The holidays were rough!) Plus I have had this really bad cold for 2 weeks now
My starting weight was 354 lbs on July 12, 2004
Todsay i am 184 lbs. Thats a 170 lb loss, and my goal is 160 lbs and my surgeons goal for me is 140 lbs....
Good luck everyone, we can do it, we made it this far we can make it all the way!

Denise~Reading your wonderful post helped me a lot. I have been down on myself for not being where I want to be at this point, but you are right when you said thank god you're not where you use to be. I was 381 and now I am 250ish. I can live my life again like I should!! You all look so wondeful! What is Tilapia? I've seen it listed quite a bit and have never heard of it. And as for my plan, I need to go back to the basics... protein, protein, protein and water.
Hi Lisa!!
Happy belated rebirthday to you, my surgery twin!!! Tilapia is a fi**** has a very light taste. I eat it almost everyday. Good source of protein, good fats and easy to prepare. I grill it most of the time with Old Bay Seasoning. Congrats on your success. While I wish I was lighter for my 18 month rebirthday, I know without the surgery I would definitely be heavier now. My doctor says we can still lose more weight, we just have to step up the protein, water and exercise. This message board helps me to stay on course (or at least get back on when I fall off -- which seems to be too often!). One day at a time... We'll get there.
Denise
Congratulations to all of you sticking to this!! Denise, Happy Belated Rebirth day.
I was good yesterday until the evening when i started eating crackers and cheese and blew my carb and calorie limits for the day!!
Not really sure why, as I wasn't even hungry!! I also fell short of my water goal.
I am planning for 1000 cals a day, at least 80 oz of water, and at least 30 mins of exercise.
Yesterday
Breakfast
1/2 cup yogurt with protein powder and wheat germ
Snack ( could not resist!)
3 chocolate covered macadamia nuts
Lunch
Salad with grilled chicken breast
1 tbsp Macaroni and cheese
Dinner
Salad with grilled chicken breast
Snack
6 crackers
2 ox of cheese
1/2 cup Milk
Water/Liquid
48 oz water
30 oz of tea
Total:
Cals; 1138
Carb: 74
Prot:103
30 min on the treadmiil at 3.6 mph
Hope I can stick to it today I have friends coming round for dinner tonight!!

Hi Pamela!!
I'm a part of the support group at Barnes Jewish Hospital. We meet the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays in the month. I'd love to get together with you. I don't know how motivating I am! I'm struggling to behave myself in a big way!! It's just too easy to eat anything these days. All I can do is keep trying every day. Our counterparts on the board have shown me it can be done and it works. I weigh in at Barnes twice per month. So I'll see on Wednesday whether I have netted anything good... Given my habit of falling of the wagon, I'll be grateful if I haven't gained courtesy of Krispi Kreme and oatmeal cookies!!
I'll keep you posted...
