More to lose... 18 months post op today ... Friday's game plan
Well... my rebirthday is here. Happy Birthday to me and my surgery twins!!! No, I'm not where I want to be, but thank God I'm not where I used to be.
I can tie my own shoes; I can sit on a plane without a seatbelt extender; I can stand at my sink and wash the dishes without backache; strangers on the street no longer stare at me in disgust! I no longer stare at myself in disgust (we'll not as often anyway! )
My hope is to be at or close to goal by my 2 year rebirthday... so here's my game plan to get started.. (WHAT'S YOUR PLAN?):
Breakfast:
Ground turkey 3 oz
Snack:
Celery
Pineapple
Lunch:
South Beach - Mediterranean Chicken w/Coucous
Snack:
Applesauce
Dinner:
Shrimp 3 oz
Romaine Lettuce
Snack:
Tilapia 4 oz
Sugar free popsicles
Nutrition:
Calories: 1168
Fat: 47
Carbs: 43
Protein: 124
Exercise:
1 hr water aerobics
Congrats to you Denise! Amazing accomplishments!
Well, I was supposed to exercise Thursday evening, but didn't make it. My upper respiratory infection got the best of me, and my lack of sleep was also a contributing factor. Not going to beat myself up over it, I just wasn't able to work out. 'Nuff said.
My plan today:
I did the stair master for 10 minutes this morning (I prefer to go 20, but I'm just glad I was on the horse!). I have volleyball tonight for 1 1/2 hours (competitive, co-ed).
Since i will be off line until Monday, I better commit to some weekend goals, too.
Stair master with weights for 45 minutes on Saturday and Sunday.
Consider my commitment a "done deal". Oh, and the scale may have moved a little bit in my favor--wouldn't suprise me if I were down to 204 by Monday, but we'll see. One pound at a time.....

Denise,
I can't wait for you to get weighed in because you are doing all the right things. Post as soon as you know what the scales say...I think you said that was next week right???? I had a great day yesterday and the scales read 170.8 this morning which is totally sweet ..... I was 180 last week. I did exercise for 20 minutes...80 grams of protein minimum each day...and all my water plus I stay under 1000 calories. This is working and I really think we needed to give our bodies a rest before we talckled this last stretch home to goal. At least that is my lame excuse for falling so far off the track since last summer !!!!! I want to be in the 150's by Valentine's day for sure and that is only 11 pounds so I know I can do it. I would like to increase the treadmill stuff but I have been away from it for too long...20 minutes seems like a marathon right now and that is having it set at 3.8 mile/hour. I can't go any faster or I will fly off onto my dresser hahaha. Be stong everyone....we can do this....Hugs from Karen.

Hi all!
I did great all day yesterday, then messed up right before bed! I ended up eating almost a whole cup of granola - and we all know how carby and fatty that is!! I did my two 30 minute sets of exercise. I didn't lose anything this morning, but didn't gain either!!
My plan for today is:
B: hard boiled egg
L: 1/2 cup chicken breast on lettuce with red roasted peppers and 1 T. SF dressing
S: Snyder's carb fix pretzels
D: 4 oz. Turkey Sloppy Joe (meat and sauce only), green salad, and 1 cup of 1% cottage cheese with Splenda for dessert
S: Weigh****cher's Flakes & Fiber with a couple of spoonfuls of Isopure 0 carb protein powder
Totals:
Calories: 958
Carbs: 31
Protein: 110
Water: at least 80 oz.
Exercise: already did 30 minutes Leslie Sansone 2.5 mile WalkBlaster, will either do 30 minutes on the treadmill here at work or another 30 minutes WATP at home this evening.
Everyone is doing so well!! Who's going to be around on the board this weekend - that's when I need the most help!!!
Hugs,
Nancy

Hey Nancy!!
I'll be around on the weekend.. I need all the help I can get. Mentally, I'm still struggling!! The light in my head has got to flip the switch soon, or I'm going to lose my mind!! Staying away from sweets and carbs is such a task... It must be done, however!!!
Have a good weekend... I'll be online...
