Back to basics - I was OUT of CONTROL!!!

I got myself back on the wagon today. I can't believe when I weighed I was 183 lbs.!! I had swore to myself I would never get over 175 again. Well, I have started back using fitday.com and so far I am being good today. Right now I am feeling cravings and obsessing about eating, but not giving in. I know this happens and it takes a day or so to break those nasty snacking habits. I can get through it - I've gotten through worse things! I started back on my exercise on Sunday, and did them yesterday too. I got myself up at 5:30 am today to do the 2 mile Walk Away the Pounds video, and I hope to do another 2 miles this evening. My worst time is when I finally sit down to relax - that's when the food starts calling to me. I have some Weigh****chers Flakes and Fiber cereal that I nibble on to help with the crunch cravings, and I sprinkle it with some protein powder too. I'm also sucking down water like there's no tomorrow. As I said, I'm committed to getting myself back on track. I'd like to lose another 25-30 lbs. and get down to 150 - that's my goal. I'm also going to start posting what I ate the day before - it helps to keep me honest. So, my friends...yell at me, scream at me, hug me - whatever it takes to help me stay on track and not forget what a blessing I was given. Hugs, Nancy 183

Big hugs to you! This is where we "bounce" and find that low weight that we can get to without the work, now you know what to do. I'm proud of you for recognizing and taking care of it rather then the old days when we'd say, oh well, its 5 more lbs, or oh well, its just one more size up. You can do it Nancy. Its so easy to forget to do things right. Hugs, Deejay 262/151 PS January 19th

Hey Nancy!! I'm with you! We can do this together!!! One day at a time. I just read about Al Roker, who had the surgery 4 years ago, getting back to basics. He has gained 40 lbs.! Our tool is not a magic bullet, but a tool to use with commitment, like yours. It's easier to drop 30 lbs. with the tool than 130 without the tool.... Looking forward to cheering you on! Denise 326/229/170 -97 59 stubborn lbs to go!

I'm with you Denise!! I did pretty well yesterday - ended up with an unhappy pouch last night; I'm not really sure why - maybe tuna salad? It never bothered me before, but it sure did last night! You're right - we can do this together!! Hugs, Nancy 180

Hey Stacy! Do you eat the shells and all or peel the little seed out of the shell? I don't know if I have the patience for that, but maybe I'll give it a try. They're pretty high in fat too, aren't they? I read on the main board about Oberto Jerky Crisps - just like jerky but crispy - I'm going to keep an eye out for them. Thanks for your support - I'll get back on track!! Love ya! Hugs, Nancy 180

Nancy...I always follow how you are doing when I read and I know you made it into the 160's for a time as did I before gaining back some. I am now on the road down and you will be too. We can do this....I know we can.....It actually made me feel great to know that you were having the same struggles and that maybe it was the natural year and a half blaws we were going through....that said....we are past that girl and you can do this...race you to goal girl...we are going to make it. We started around the same weight and at the same month. Anyway...thank goodness for the week off hear from school (I'm a high school english teacher) so that I can focus on me. We start back to the whirlwind to teaching and exams next week. Hugs...keep going...WE WILL DO THIS........Karen from Canada
