Does your dh...
appreciate your new body at home and in public? Here lately when we're going out, whether it's to dinner or the grocery store; my husband will ask me "Do you plan on wearing that?" if I have a shirt on that shows cleavage. Now before I had surgery, he had no problems with me wearing a shirt that showed the girls off to their best advantage, but now he does. I have 2 tank tops I got at Old Navy, with the built in bras; granted I only wear them on really hot days but OMG I thought he was going to have a cow one day when I wore it to the mini-mart to get some milk! I wasn't wearing it to get attention, I had it one because it was hot, I was cleaning house and I wasn't worried if it got dirty.
I got mad and wore it anyway which miffed him off, but come in, it's a tank top, not a string bikini! Plus I put a little jacket on over it because I don't like showing my arms in public, so there wasn't that much to see.
At home, he doesn't care, but when we go out I notice him staring down guys who he thinks checked my boobs out. He likes it when I wear my cute jeans, that doesn't bother him. So what's the big deal about me wearing tops that show a little cleavage?? We've talked about it several times, but he just can't seem to get over this compulsion/jealousy over my boobs. I'm worried, if he's acting like this now when they're deflating and getting saggy, what's he gonna act like after I get my PS?
I am FAR from my goal, have another 90 or so pounds to lose. I pretty much still dress the way I always have, pants, nice top but I swear he sometimes acts like I'm walking around wearing a thong and flaunting my body. Me, who wears a cover up at the beach. Me, who won't show my arms. Me, who 99% of the time wears jeans and a t-shirt. He used to love it when I wore a shirt that had cleavage and now he's done a complete turnaround. I just don't get it.
It hasn't become a huge deal yet, but I'm worried that as I continue to lose weight he's going to become even worse. I know he's proud of me, of the weight I've lost, so I just don't understnad why he'd get upset if another man looks at me. Not like anythings ever gonna happen! I mean, come on, we all look at other people, so why can't other people look at me?!? Not that I think it's happening at the rate he seems to think it is, but I don't think there should be a conversation each time we leave the house if I'm showing too much cleavage!

Pppfttt the more revealing my outfit is, the happier my man is.
He loved showing me off pre-op...and he still loves to show me off...check out the pics on my profile that HE took...and told asked me to post .... He's the one who bought me the bikini and wishes I'd wear it with other people around (never!) He wants me wearing the stilettos (which he did buy me some boots, 2 pair...and I bought more and shoes...) He egged me on to buy miniskirts...lowcut tops etc....
You should see him when we go to watch our friends' band play at the local bars....OMG he loves it when I get attention from other men, and some of them, who know us, are all over me it's a hoot!
It all depends on how confident your man is. One thing about my W, he knows he's the only man I'll ever go home with

HIJACK! Hi Linda! Haven't seen you for AGES! I haven't been on the board for quite some time....LIFE just gets in the way! I've missed all my July-baby buddies and hope everyone is doing well!
Looks like you're doing great -- you look beautiful, as usual. I've had no problem maintaining my weight...but haven't continued to lose like you. I have to admit there's a part of me that would like to weigh 129...if only for a day! That's just 3 lbs. away! Maybe one of these days I'll give it a try!
I'm so sorry that this board has slowed down so much. I was afraid that would happen when we all started getting more comfortable with our new bods. I'm guilty of not posting and vow to do better over the winter.
Looks like all's well with you and Willem! I'll bet you're working hard on your wedding plans! My step-daughter just got engaged so we're planning a June 17 wedding for her. She and her fiance live in Montana, but they'll be getting married here in Wisconsin. Lots of planning to do -- it's kind of fun!
Take care, Linda -- and have a great holiday!

Hey Gail!!!!
I don't post much here either, but still do frequent the main board. Life can sure get in the way, I just started a new job last week too....
Thanks so much, I feel fantastic...how have you been doing lately??? I'm glad to hear that you're maintaining...I'm still going down...I was at 130 2 weeks ago (I was staying between 129-130 for a month) and when I went to the Dr last Wed....I was down to 127 they're worried now...and this AM, 126.5!
I have a feeling that all boards will be quieter for the next month or so too....
Things are great with us here...wedding plans are slowly coming together.
Congrats to your daughter! That's wonderful news! A June bride
Keep in touch, and take care of yourself!
Big Hugsssssssssssssssss.....Happy Holidays!!!!

Hi Tanja,
Well, I wish I could give you some great insight, but my divorce was final last January. My Ex's problem was that he wanted to remain the status quo. He didn't want to go out and do stuff with me as I became more physically active. With that said, he and I never had arguments with clothing selections. My current SO is much different in that I definitely feel that he worships every inch of this saggy, flabby, boobless body of mine.. He had commented that I am a big flirt, but as long as I keep showing him that he is the one I want to go home with, we ar kosher~
Communication was the key to this for me.
Good luck and keep up the good work!

My hubby also had WLS, so he knows how good it feels to "show off" a little. Last night we went to an office Xmas party. I wore a top that was a 1x--I actually wear a size L, but it was a holiday panic for something to wear. He told me he wished I had something tighter to show off my figure!
We've been married for 10 years. We kid and joke, but we both know who we're going home with.
He tells me all the time that he loves my body, extra skin and all. But, he knows that I am looking forward to its removal (I am supposed to hear from my insurance company next week with a yea or nea).
