so, who's getting/needs PS?
Just curious.....who's planning on getting plastic surgery?
Tell us all if you are:
A.) definately getting surgery, and what you're getting done
B.) definately NOT getting any surgery because you just don't need it (lucky!!)
or
C.) want it, need it....but not sure if you're going to do it or not (for either financial cost, medical risks, or other reasons).

Heya Diana,
I am going to get plastics one of these days. I need boobs done definately. I need a tummy tuck but not a priority for me. I will be ok if I don't get the tummy done. But I definately need the boobs reconstructed. Good luck with all your plastics. I don't even know when I am even going to try to get them. I just know I need it. Congrats again on all your success. Love Danelle
Well, as much as I NEED it, I won't be getting it. Heck, that's true of alot of things. Anyway, I won't be getting plastic surgery for a number of reasons: Cost, fear, and anger. There's no way I could afford any of it. I'm deathly afraid of having any more voluntary surgery, afraid of the pain and afraid of not surviving the surgery or having complications afterwards. And I'm mad, mad at everyone, and society in general, who tell us we're not ok the way we are. It pissed me off when I was fat and it ****** me off now that I'm saggy and puckered and jiggly. At least once a week someone asks me if I'm going to have any plastic surgery and I always want to scream at them, "Hey, I lost over 100 lbs! This is who I am and what I look like! Why can't everyone just accept it and embrace it?!" I know what I look like naked. No one else will ever have to witness it. I look horrible, but every day I try to just be proud of what I've accomplished and not dwell on it. But yes, I need it. The tummy, the boobs, the upper arms, the butt, even the thighs a bit. I don't want implants though. Maybe I could just have them removed, go back to being flat chested (and wonderfully braless). Except then I'd look like a cancer survivor, right? Sorry to ramble.

I probably should have added that I could really stand to have something done with "the girls".....but it's not a priority. As long as I can "roll 'em up and tuck 'em in" it's no big deal to me. They look fine in a bra, and I can't imagine going out in public without one, even after a boob job. So, I think a boob job would not be a needed surgery for me, although my husband would disagree *wink*.

Definitely getting it done no matter what! I need:
1. abdominoplasty (I had triplets on top of the weight loss so its a desperate need for this)
2. thigh lift and lipo just on the hips
3. breast lift with implants (there's nothing left of them and they hang to my belly button, they are also extremely different in size now, like a whole cup size difference, otherwise I wouldn't worry about implants.
My insurance company will cover if medically necessary, I have pics of rashes and such and letter of medical necessity from my dr and I've got a consult scheduled for 9/26. I expect a fight with the insurance company cuz it took me a year and a half to get my bypass and legal action, but I did it and will do it again. Whatever I can get insurance to cover will be great but I will pay out of pocket for the whatever if needed.

I definately need the surgery. My bypass surgeon told me I should wait until I'm about 14 months post op before getting a consult though and he suggests I wait until atleast 18 months post op. Right now I'm without insurance but will getting some in October when I get married. I will start going for consults then. My fiance and I have talked in depth about this and have decided we will wait until I have kids before having the surgery. He keeps saying we should get started on that soon and said if I could just get pregnant with twins the first time I'd be able to have my reconstructive surgery within a year and a half or so. He's so wonderful though, he said he's quite happy with me the way I am but sees the disappoint I face when I look in the mirror. I think I'm more bothered by the extra skin than I was by the extra 115-125 pounds. I will need a TT mostly likely with an anchor cut as I have a nasty roll of skin above my belly button as well as my lower body. I can live with my arms and thighs for now. My boobs are really saggy and will need a lift. I'm undecided about implants although the doctor will probably recommend them. There is very little breast tissue left but lots of skin.
I wish everyone luck as they pursue additional surgeries, reaching their goals, and maintaining their goals.

I am. My date is Aug. 31st. But, it could possibly be bumped up. Insurance denied me without much thought. I sent in an appeal 2 weeks ago. They have 6 weeks to decide. Unfortunately, my insurance runs out on Aug. 21. So, it will run out before they are required to make a decision. If they are crewl, they will send my approval on Aug. 22. Even if I do get approval, I don't know if I can get my date moved up.
Anyway, I need a lower body lift. But, I can't afford it. And, my doc wants to do my breast lift with implants and TT before adressing my butt issues. She said she wouldn't want to combine it with the other because of blood lose.
My rear is so saggy. But, at least I can get the front of my body done. So, I guess I would be an A and a C.

Hi Diana and everyone,
I just saw the plastic surgeon yesterday.
I have a very big apron of skin that hangs very low. It makes me feel like I have a tire around my stomach.
I have the rashes and stuff from it. I got letters from the pcp and dermatologist recommending that I have the pannus removed.
The plastic surgeon also said yesterday that he thinks I have a hernia.
I will deal with the hanging bat wing arms and the sagging chest, but I really want the skin off from my stomach, it is so uncomfortable.
The plastic surgeon is on my insurance and they are going to try to get it covered by the insurance.
I am working on a date for my surgery and I think it will be in november.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!

A) I am DEFINITELY having plastic surgery...when I'm at goal and can afford it. More than anything, I will need my arms done. I know that I will also need a breast lift, assuming I still have boobs when this is all over (I've already lost a cup size and still shrinking!). My legs are doing okay, but everything above the thigh and below the neck is probably going to be hideous. But then, I still have nearly 100 lbs to go, so who knows how things will shape up. All I know is that right now, my back is kind of gross in my hip area and near my arms, and I definitely have an apron going on. I'd better get a job and start saving! I went to a seminar one day for kicks...arms are $4 grand, and each side of the body is $4 grand, which makes a belt lipectomy $16 thousand. I figure arms are first, and everything else will come after I have my second (and last) kid.
